Can anyone recommend trousers available in a petite length for travelling in? I'd like something soft and comfortable but smarter than leggings. Preferably ones that are reasonably priced. TIA.

The next ones are called joggers.

@TSSDNCOP

I've googled as well and these come up .I do like the look of the jersey denim ones .

But not sure where harem comes in .

I think they used to be called harem a few years ago, I remember someone complaining the name had changed. They have annoying string on then now you have to cut off as the metal end bits bang you in the crotch as you walk. But otherwise the same as the old ones.

MissElaineNeus · 17/02/2019 09:42

Lonicera - I got my pair for 37 quid at the outlet centre!

Hoppinggreen · 17/02/2019 09:46

Hush Amie joggers

peridito · 17/02/2019 10:25

Thanks Elspeth that makes sense .

I'm really tempted .Not ,of course ,because I'm flying anywhere but because I've a fat stomach and they look so comfy Smile

ElspethFlashman · 17/02/2019 11:52

They're the comfiest things on earth. Very forgiving on muscular calves too. I'm going to buy new ones this summer. Much airier than sweaty crotch leggings.

EdWinchester · 17/02/2019 11:59

I have the Hush Amie joggers too - they're ultra comfy. Having said that, I would feel a bit scruffy wearing anything like this on a flight.

MinesaPinot · 17/02/2019 14:55

I've got some great knit trousers in a similar shape to those Asda ones you posted OP, but mine are from Peacocks. I've worn them on a long car journey teamed with a long sleeved t-shirt, chunky cardi, Hush scarf and Converse. So comfy and smart at the same time. I'm definitely wearing them when I fly in June.

peridito · 17/02/2019 15:14

these ones www.peacocks.co.uk/lds-knitted-jogger-1e7598.html Pinot ?

hellenbackagen · 17/02/2019 15:20

for long haul i usually do wear new black leggings, a vest top (so i can remove outer layers when landed!) and a long sweatshirt.

if leggings arent smart enough id go for the next hareem pants - with a vest top and cardigan. i always wear those little lace up pumps from primark at £3 for flying too!
smartish but easy layers to remove when landed somewhere hot!

roll on june!!!

These?

Winenotttea · 17/02/2019 23:14

For long haul I get changed on the plane, I usually just pack a pair of leggings and a t shirt which I change in to, then a pair of shorts and top (and clean undies) to change into at the end of the flight.

Winenotttea · 17/02/2019 23:17

I also have a bikini and 2 days worth of sunny clothes in my hand luggage just in case my checked bag gets delayed. Probably overkill but I’ve had to reply on that on one occasion, albeit a long time ago.

TSSDNCOP · 18/02/2019 22:07

I bought the Next ones.

As a poor buying decision it’s sharing the top spot with the MN recommendation steam cleaner.

Cheap, nasty, and odd flappy ankles.

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 22:12

Hush Amie

I have black and white striped ones that are fab. Really soft on the waist with a deep band and don't go baggy. Wash well over and over too.

Worth the ££££ honestly

MoltonSilver · 18/02/2019 22:13

I didnt get on great with the next ones either. They creased badly.

hellenbackagen · 19/02/2019 23:29

it seems the next hareem pants i was referring to are not in the current catalogue, ive a few pairs . they are just patterned jersey trousers that taper at the ankle and had a thick waist band so were super comfy. i cant see them now.
they did them in all sorts of patterns and colours. i lived in them for a while until my dp asked why i was wearing my pyjamas in the day Grin

Blibbyblobby · 19/02/2019 23:35

For long haul I change into cotton jersey pyjamas after takeoff, change back before landing.
