It was only 299 at Boots (discounted from 575!)

This is now back in stock on Boots 👍

O4FS · 28/01/2019 15:30

I’m waiting until I have time to shave. I need a lot of time.

Only trouble is Teetotallong if you are going for a Hollywood is the bum hole. Says you can’t do that. Usually when I have a Hollywood, that gets waxed too.

(I am nearly 50. It’s probably time I stopped anyway Grin).

teetotalling · 28/01/2019 15:56

😂😂 I'll have to manage, O4FS. TBH, I probably won't get v far in my quest for porndom so it will only be DH having to suffer a few stray bum hairs.

O4FS · 28/01/2019 16:01

Striving for porndom isn’t high on my list either. However, not having to say to one of my DCs ‘when I am too old to notice, please make sure you de-whisker me when you visit the old people’s home as I don’t want the great grand children to be freaked out by nana’s moustache and sideburns’ is a driver in this.

I am not joking. This is my thought process.

RagingWhoreBag · 28/01/2019 16:07

O4FS I have to say this was one of my worries - that I’d end up in hospital unconscious or in a coma and everyone who visited me would see my ever bushier beard! Now no more worries about that Grin

My poor grandma was blind so couldn’t see her sprouting chin hairs (or maybe that’s a blessing in disguise - not to have to be embarrassed about it because you can’t see it?!)

O4FS · 28/01/2019 16:21

RagingWhoreBag (I love that name) I find your words very reassuring Grin

If I still cared about sprouting whiskers at that point in my life I’d be very disappointed with myself (I’m hardly high maintenance now and I’m in my prime

But at this moment in time I don’t want my fictional GGC to know me as ‘nana with the beard’.

myidentitymycrisis · 28/01/2019 16:28

I have lost a quantity of hair on my legs since menopause. It still grows as quickly but not from all follicles. Only on the lower legs though the backs of my thighs are getting really horrible with long pubic type hair.
Im so tempted but meant to be saving money and I just made an impulse buy on eBay for 50 quid. Im fair with thick dark leg hair and have some dark freckles on my legs but I really want this .......

Fazackerley · 28/01/2019 18:03

I'm going to do the backs of my thighs this week. Weirdly looking forward to it.

I had a lovely whiff of burnt hair today. Very pleasing.

has anyone had experience of tria compared to ipl?
I've used a tria on my legs and apart from maybe 4 or 5 hairs I'm smooth as anything( I'm incredibly hairy so that's an amazing result)
I keep doing my upper lip however and nothing seems to be changing in that area.
I'm thinking of trying ipl.

Fazackerley · 29/01/2019 10:01

Whats a tria?

Chin noticeably less stubbly this morning!!

OP posts:
RD15 · 29/01/2019 10:35

Mine has just arrived at boots. Quite excited to get started. Although, on inspecting my legs this morning, I do have a few little moles- are these ok just covered with white eyeliner? Xx

minesthecutest · 29/01/2019 10:53

The tria laser hair remover. It is supposed to be better than ipl but for some reason it's not working on my upper lip but my legs are as smooth and shiny as anything.

teetotalling · 01/02/2019 19:11

How are we all doing?

I've zapped just about every stray hair going this week for the first time (with DH's help on bikini area). Really easy apart from the hard to reach bits where I needed help.

No difference yet, obvs.

Please give me tales of success!!

O4FS · 01/02/2019 20:49

I think my luxurious hasn’t grown back quite so luscious. My bikini ‘line’ (by which I mean everything from knees to belly button) is showing little change, but early days.

O4FS · 01/02/2019 20:50

I meant ‘luxurious moustache’ not ‘my luxurious’ (although I quite like to call it that now). I am drunk though.

xxlucybxx · 01/02/2019 20:58

I have one. The key to it is keeping on top of the zapping and doing it every two weeks to start. If you get slack with it (which you will) it starts to gradually creep back.

For me it worked well on lower legs, bikini and under arms. For some reason on the bikini It wouldn't work on the really intimate bits but the top bit it worked like a dream. I also tried sideburns but didn't have much luck there.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and it advises you to stop using it so I have, but I miss it so much, being a gym goer and shaving every day again it's so crap 😭

Fazackerley · 02/02/2019 08:27

I've only done my chin this week. I have to say it's definitely not as good as the time I had it done in the salon which was far stronger (quite painful) but the black hairs fell out within a couple of days! Even at level 5 it isn't at all painful, only the very occasional zap and the faint smell of burning hair.

About to do legs!

OP posts:
CurlsLDN · 02/02/2019 12:12

I am so tempted to get one!

After the initial fortnightly treatments, how regularly do you need to do it to keep hair free?

teetotalling · 02/02/2019 12:47

O4FS, I have fond thoughts of you preening your Poirot style 'luxurious' in the mirror with a specialist moustache comb. Are you really sure you want rid? It does sound quite splendid.

NicoAndTheNiners · 02/02/2019 12:54

For people who are doing chin hair, etc don't you need to shave first? I have one and I thought it worked best when you have a bit of stubble growing back? So shave your armpits and then a few days later zap your arm pits?

I've never thought of using it on my facial hair as I don't shave.....I use removal cream there.

RagingWhoreBag · 02/02/2019 13:42

Mine said to shave not pluck but no need to wait a couple of days for stubble, as it zaps the root. I have SmoothSkin Gold. Tis magic.

RagingWhoreBag · 02/02/2019 13:45

Curls - I did mine once a month for about 5 months, plus the odd extra bit in between on my chin/tash. I haven’t had to do it again for over a year!

I have a couple of strays on my legs that will need doing again, and will give it a zap if I see anything else appearing but so far so good (touch wood). I have olive skin and reasonably thick dark hair.

Fazackerley · 02/02/2019 14:08

Did legs today then did chin again withoit the face filter on. Gave a much more satisfying stinging zap which actually felt as though it might do something!

I'm using the highest setting and I shave. Sounds depressing shaving chin but I started doing it whrn I had a salon laser treatment and it's so quick and easy I've never stopped.

OP posts:
O4FS · 08/02/2019 11:52

Second zapping of The Luxurious and it is definitely far less luxurious. I had one sprouting hair, and the downy fluff is indeed tamer.

I will do the second zap of the bikini area on Tuesday and the first zapping of legs.

So far so good and I’m pleased with what results there are.

DeflatedBalloons · 08/02/2019 12:34

I sent mine back today under the 100 day money back guarantee.

All the reviews are fantastic so don't let this put you off - I'm clearly just destined to be a bearded lady for life as I seem to be resistant to all permanent hair removal treatments. Sad
