I currently use Estée Lauder double wear which I love as I can remove with warm water, or clinique naturally glossy at weekends. I have long lashes but want something a bit more volumising and that can hold a curl. I hate anything that clumps or smudges! Has anyone got any good suggestions?

Thanks!

Benefit Roller Lash is good for curl

PhysaliaPhysalis · 20/01/2019 10:22

Monsieur Big (Lancome) is my current love.

LVL
My DD has long eyelashes but when she has LVL they touch her eyebrows and she doesn't need to curl them or wear mascara.

They go a bit tangly when the new lashes grow through (and the old ones fall out) but they last for weeks .

Thanks ladies, I will look at both of those. Is the benefit one the one with the funny applicator? 70isa what’s LVL - sounds interesting!

Lancôme. Any of them if I’m honest

Hourglass - it’s amazing!

Benefit Rollerlash

NotquitewhatImeant · 20/01/2019 19:31

Ooh that’s two for rollerlash and two for Lancôme. I used to love Lancôme flextencils before they discontinued it so I’m tempted by them and I like the sound of the roller lash from reviews and the fact I can buy a small size fist. I saw the hourglass one in mini size somewhere, Emma. Is it clump proof? These are all great suggestions. Thanks everyone!

OP I highly recommend the £8 Maybelline Volumelash (I think) the one in the fat yellow tube.

I have similarly long lashes that need volume, and this has been better than loads of expensive ones for me.

Really rub it back and forth to get right in at the roots (make up artists advise this, it's what they do for volume) and I also keep an old clean bare mascara wand to hand to comb through and avoid clumps

LotsToThinkOf · 20/01/2019 21:31

LVLs - I don't need mascara when I have this done and it lasts for about a month. It's a treatment put into your lashes, my beautician describes it as 'a perm for your lashes'. When mine grow out they can be a bit messy so I just use mascara to tame them.

Pancakepoop · 20/01/2019 21:33

Lancôme Hypnose.

moreismore · 20/01/2019 21:33

What are the wands like on rollerlash and Lancôme? I really like small thin wands and perfect separation but they’re hard to find...

sammy891 · 20/01/2019 21:38

Boots No7 Mascaras are very good

FrettyFifties · 20/01/2019 21:48

Lancôme hypnose.

MitziK · 20/01/2019 22:37

Toofaced or Benefit They're Real.

toffeeapple123 · 20/01/2019 23:27

Lancôme

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 21/01/2019 03:35

For me the rollerlash is OK but it transfers onto my skin just beneath my eyebrows. I think because it's so effective at curling the lashes they end up touching the skin when I blink! Watching with interest for other suggestions!

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 21/01/2019 03:37

I haven't tried LVL but I have my lashes tinted and curl then every day with a standard lash curler. Is the effect much different to this? I still definitely need mascara after doing this.

Elledorado · 21/01/2019 07:11

LVL is just tinting and curling, so if you still need mascara for volume then LVL may not be for you.

Benefit smudges and clumps everywhere on me.

I like Dior overcurl and the hourglass one for volume and curl. Also using a NARS Climax sample atm which I like, but has a bushy brush so may not be for you.

NotquitewhatImeant · 21/01/2019 08:41

Does roller lash create a curl? I think I need more volume than a tint and chemical curl would create. I wish there was some hygienic clever way you could test mascara before purchase. That would make buying a new one less of a lottery!

Agreed - mascara is such a personal thing and what looks amazing on one person is rubbish on another.

The best mascara (for me) that I've used in years is an Aldi Laura 3d Effects (or similar name, not 100% sure) one that I bought in an emergency. £3 and amazing! Sadly they only seem to have it in once in a blue moon.

Roomba · 21/01/2019 08:45

Lacura, not Laura 🙄

florriepeck · 21/01/2019 08:53

Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash mascara.

professionalnomad · 21/01/2019 09:06

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara is amazing. I ALWAYS come back to this. Really perfect fluttery lashes

creamcheeseandlox · 21/01/2019 09:32
