Mine is a cross between a witch in Harry Potter and an early Noughties rock chick (depending on my mood.) It's either long bell sleeved tops, long swishy skirts and pointy toed ankle boots, or band t-shirts, knee length skirts, stripy socks and combat boots. A strange combination! In the summer I sometimes dress in an almost regency style, as I have some summer dresses that fit that look. Smile

Watching with interest here.
I'm skinny jeans, big shirt, big boots - hair from another galaxy and minimal make up. Not sure what that makes me !

GrungeSponge · 07/01/2019 04:19

I'd like to look as if I was a 1940's French resistance spy...however I probably just look like a grown-up indie kid who has become a Mum. And likes to be warm.

SuzeD29 · 07/01/2019 06:59

Oooh I don't know! Would love to hear anyones thoughts on my style?

Skinny jeans, Stan smiths, vest tops and biker jacket
Midi length body con dresses with Stan smiths or ankle boots
That's my 'uniform' I guess

I have several tattoos and piercings (full sleeve and pierced nose and lip amongst others)

veganrunnergirl · 07/01/2019 12:51

Feminine and girly, with a lot of vintage

My favourite looks are skirts or dresses with a fitted top and flared midi skirt, slim fitting tops with skinny trousers and nice scarves, or pinafore dresses over roll necks/Bretons

I'll occasionally wear a mini or pencil skirt but it isn't my natural look. I hate wearing too much volume on my top half.

Topofthehills · 07/01/2019 16:48

Academic comfy layers. Many scarves feature. Usually skirts/dresses, with tights. Lots of jewel tones and prints, though recently I've been getting into a more autumnal palette too. Silver earrings, black boots.

Part of me thinks it would be so elegant to dress all in black/dark grey, which is what my sister does, but I am always cheered up by colour.

This isn't my personal one, but there's a YouTuber who describes her style as "comfortable vampire", which always makes me laugh.

KaliforniaDreamz · 07/01/2019 16:49

In my head i look like Kate Moss but in reality i am more Waynetta

RosinaAlmaviva · 07/01/2019 17:40

Dita von Teese meets the Duchess of Cambridge. But cut-price and several sizes larger.

I can't wear vintage clothes because I can't fit into them, but I have a lot of vintage accessories and do vintage hair/makeup on occasion. My wardrobe is 75% fit-and-flare dresses, so work and home tend to look pretty similar. My style is also very matchy-matchy as I'm short and if I try to mix too many colours/patterns I look a mess. I've been building up my collection of bags, scarves and gloves over the past year to provide a bit more variety. I have to keep everything well organised though or I end up not using things because I can't easily find them.

I sometimes find myself accidentally on trend, which has happened most recently with red lipstick, tying scarves to handbags and wearing brooches.

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 07/01/2019 18:06

My style is Boho/vintage with a lot of Stevie Nicks thrown in for good measure.
I have wild curly hair so it is usually down or pinned up with tendrils that surround my face. Loose, messy braids. I go the charity shops and antique shops often to find beautiful Indian dresses from the 70's which have long bell sleeves but are low cut. I have a fantastic cleavage, so I show that off, my my dresses are always long down to my ankles. I always a pair of dark brown Frye boots that I've had for years.

I wear a lot of native Amercian jewelry, turquoise, squash blossom necklace which is my pride and joy and a lot of antique or vintage sterling silver.
However, I love gold too, and often wear long gold earrings, gold cuff bracelets or gold snake bracelets and gold necklaces with antique gold fobs.
I also wear long and short kimonos from the 1920's 1940's with my jeans and boots. I have a very sensual way of dressing, because I am very sensual.
I collect vintage and antique jewelry and I love big reliquaries, big cabochon rings etc. I hate emeralds or sapphires but I love garnet amethyst, diamonds and pigeon blood.
I do wear sandals in the summer and a lot of linen. I love big hats and scarfs on my head. I wear a lot of shawls.
I love make up, so I'm very precise about that, and make sure it compliments my outfit. I was a MUA in another life, so I'm still a make up junkie and Sephora is like my 2nd home. Smile

Oh! And I adore fragrance and I collect it too! So, I'm always wearing something either niche, unisex or vintage! Grin

sizzledrizz · 08/01/2019 00:25

At the moment, like Ive just crawled out of bed and put on leggings. That's how I feel. Hate winter

sizzledrizz · 08/01/2019 00:28

" comfortable vampire does appeal

SapphireSeptember · 08/01/2019 00:48

@Miane
Grin You are a grown up, so by definition your clothes are grown up clothes.
I like your way of thinking! Smile
The only important thing is that they are comfortable and that they make you feel good. Your clothes sound lovely.
Aww, thank you! I do, I feel fabulous. Sometimes I get funny looks but that just makes me giggle to myself. Grin

I love reading all the replies, you all sound fabulous!

I love charity shops, some of my favourite clothes are from charity shops, though I own a lot of TU and Peacocks stuff as well. (My favourite witchy tops were from Peacocks.)

Old Hippie.

BusterGonad · 08/01/2019 04:55

What a tough question. I'm not sure really, about 1 year ago it was all lace dresses, skater or fit and flare style, birds and butterfly's on everything but then I though did it I'm bored and sold it all (well almost all) on eBay. Now I've got a few H&M t shirt dresses with various prints (flowers and leafs) jeans are my go to, I've recently bought a few retro style surf t-shirts. I love love love a denim dress. I think a part of me will always be 1990s indie.
Today I'm wearing faded black skinny jeans, a black vest and a grungy looking black and white checked shirt.

artisanscotcheggs · 08/01/2019 05:10

The trash heap from fraggle rock.

RangerLady · 08/01/2019 05:19

Well about 90% of my clothes are from fat face... I do also like a brightly coloured or patterned top which I may well have seen myself. I like boots, biker jackets and black eyeliner as I will always retain a love for.my 90s indie / slight goth days. And a massive scarf and scruffy hair must feature. Often.my shawl is worth more than the rest of my outfit!

RangerLady · 08/01/2019 05:20

Have sewn myself. Auto correct doesn't believe I sew.

Tanaqui · 08/01/2019 06:05

I love the sound of some of your styles- I like the preppy look PortugueseTart describes, but I can’t do proper shirts. In winter my work uniform is thick tights, roll neck, chunky boots, dress over the top (often shift style, usually knee length or shorter), and out of work, thick tights, roll neck, short skirt and jumper! I would like a name for it if anyone knows one!

BusterGonad · 08/01/2019 06:11

That was my work uniform too Tana, I'd describe it as I nod to the 60s. I no longer work so I've no need for such outfits and I've moved to east Asia so no need for roll necks either!

nzeire · 08/01/2019 09:13

Expensive hippy

Beachy bohemian meets librarian

Anerak · 08/01/2019 09:30

I love the glamour of the 80s and the feminine silhouettes of the 40s and 50s. I love the detail in period clothes from ruffles to collars to full skirts. Luxurious materials - the more detailed the better: from prints, to embroidered embellishment. I try to buy second hand where possible because I can get unique designer pieces at a fraction of the price. I can't really do effortless as I'm naturally quite ordered so I'm trying to embrace that. I'd say I am feminine, polished and a bit eclectic - I'm not afraid of colour or silhouette as long as I can act as I normally do in it. I love hats. High heels have made way for ankle boots and elegant brogues in the last few years. I like to think I look Italian or Russian. Always lipstick but no other make-up.

Anothermothersusername · 08/01/2019 09:33

Frumpy Sad

Anerak · 08/01/2019 09:35

I love the descriptions above, am making all kinds of visuals in my head and it's wonderful!

Auldspinster · 08/01/2019 11:14

Like Ines De la Fressange if she was medium height, fat and Scottish.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 08/01/2019 11:49

Autumn/Winter/Spring - I think primary school teacher but with more scarves (as I'm not a primary school teacher, I fugure there's less chance of strangulation). Leggings, boots, tunics. Lots of colour.

Summer - Natasha Bedingfield c.2004. Pretty skirts and sleeveless blouses. On the smart side of boho. Very feminine.

Swishy bob - draw your own conclusion Grin
