I always thought TK Maxx exaggerated the RRP

Now I’ve learnt my lesson. I bought my teenage nieces passport sets for their school trip to NYC, from John Lewis. They went to TK Max yesterday and saw them less than half the price. You see I thought TK Maxx got old stock not stuff that’s still in the shops. I could weep!!

So buy them in tkmaxx and bring back the other ones?

They are going to nyc next week. I’m in London they are 300 miles away.

I think they usually do OP, if it's any consolation. Old stock, stock made specially for TK Maxx by proper brands, and then in-house "brands". Though you do get things like this - last year I spied a new ErgoBaby 360 at about 60% of the RRP.

Are you sure that's a TK Maxx price tag? I've bought lots of things and that looks more like a tag from Debenhams than TK Maxx.

Most of the stock in TKmaxx is one of their own brands or designed by designers for them - this is often not discounted.

There are many bargains to be had if you can see the wood from the trees. I often shop on line with them (there own stuff isn’t discounted) as the stores are too much like hard work unless I just need some soap

That's definitely a Debenhams price tag. I worked there for years so I've seen a fair few!

They are in Debenhams and they have gone into the January sale that is all - along with probably half the stuff we all bought for Christmas. My christmas JL leather gloves are now half price and I am yet to wear them. They need a lesson in manners and an education of the way that December / January prices work.

If I saw something someone had bought me with a discount sticker on I’d just think ‘I hope they didn’t pay full price for their sake’. I certainly wouldn’t tell the gift giver!
