How much make-up do you wear daily?

Just that really. I was pondering this as I was getting ready to go out for lunch today and thought I’d find out what other women do.
For work and other daytime things (meeting for lunch, coffee, etc) I just wear mascara and fill my eyebrows in. For night-time things, it’s the full works (foundation, eyeliner, highlighter) but with neutral colours - think Urban Decay’s Naked palette. I’m late twenties, a non-smoker and have clear-ish skin with pink patches and dark circles when I haven’t slept well. I feel I need to look more polished day-to-day though.
What about you? What do you wear as part of your daily routine?

For work or out and about during thre day at weekends I have foundation, powder, blusher, eyeliner and mascara. If I remember I put lipstick on.

Today I haven’t left the house but the neighbours came for a quick drink so I put on some mascara. Mascara is my minimum for feeling a little better about myself.

I don’t really have an evening look

helpfulperson · 02/01/2019 20:54

Haven't worn any make up in about 30 years. Used to until I turned 20 but can't be bothered.

Sarahlou63 · 02/01/2019 20:57

Horse poo, horse snot and hay in my hair. Dog snot and chicken poo if it's a special occasion...

Viviene · 02/01/2019 20:58

Full make up every day I go to the office or see friends. Primer, foundation, setting powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, setting spray, lipgloss.

bringincrazyback · 02/01/2019 20:59

Foundation, powder, blusher, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick. Except on days when I don't have to leave the house, when I don't put on any unless I can be bothered.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 02/01/2019 21:00

It depends on my mood and what I’m doing.

Today, I’m wearing:
Foundation
Translucent powder
Blusher
Highlighter
Eyeshadow (2 neutral colours, primer under)
Mascara
Tinted eyebrow gel
Lipstick

It is quite subtle and just makes me look more polished.

SinglePringle · 02/01/2019 21:01

After serums and moisturisers...

SPF
Primer
Foundation / tinted moisturiser depending on the time of year
Highlighter (an all over soft glow product)
Concealer
Eyeshadow primer
Eyeshadow
Eyeliner
Mascara
Bronzer
Blusher
Lipstick
Powder (t zone only)

More eyeshadows / different foundation / lip liner for evenings

SinglePringle · 02/01/2019 21:02

Oh, forgot eyebrows - pencil and gel

Whole lot takes max 10 mins daily. Much longer for evening (I love the application process, it’s fun).

MadisonMontgomery · 02/01/2019 21:03

Full works every day - I really enjoy doing my makeup in the morning, I find it really relaxing.

Makinglists · 02/01/2019 21:04

None. Occasionaly a little lipgloss/Balm - if I want. Dont like the feel of make up on my skin. Dont see why women (most of the time) feel the need to wear it.
Can't be bothered either, will be 50 this year (gulp) and cant see me changing.

Ollivander84 · 02/01/2019 21:04

Standard day

Eye primer
Eyeshadows - maybe 3 or 4
Eyeliner (liquid and pencil)
Brow gel
Mascara
Foundation
Highlighter
Concealer
Blusher
Powder

claraschu · 02/01/2019 21:07

Ellieboolou27 · 02/01/2019 21:08

Early 40’s and always wear make up, foundation, blush, shadow, mascara and bronzer.
Night would use liner and lipstick. Never, ever not worn mascara, even put some on when I went in for my c section Grin

soundsystem · 02/01/2019 21:11

Very similar to you! Eyeshadow (the Naked palette as well), mascara and brows for work. If I'm going out, slightly more dramatic (for want of a better word!) eyes and red lipstick. I don't wear foundation but I do have a fairly comprehensive skincare regime. I'm mid-30s.

lattesforlife · 02/01/2019 21:11

Standard day is : flash Balm, double wear foundation, concealer, contour crayon, bronzer, blusher, highlighter, eyebrow pencil, lip gloss. I have eyelash extensions so don’t do anything else with my eyes.

For a night out I will wear eyeshadow and eyeliner as well.

jimsdoll · 02/01/2019 21:14

To work zero.
Nice lunch meeting friends maybe cc cream neutral eyeshadow nude liner lip gloss.
Night out in pub primer, foundation eyeshadow liner lip gloss highlighte

Twigletaddict · 02/01/2019 21:14

Tinted moisturiser, eyebrow pencil, lipgloss - 90 seconds tops.

SagelyNodding · 02/01/2019 21:15

More and more as I age! A bare minimum for work/daytime if I'm going anywhere 'nice' is eyebrow stuff, concealer/touche éclat for my eye bags, mascara, light eyeliner and usually lipstick. I often wear foundation and blusher to make me look less dead in winter, in summer I'm much more natural!
I don't spend more than about 10 minutes on doing make up, though... Maybe I should!

OhTheRoses · 02/01/2019 21:21

Every day
foundation and powder
Highlighter
Blusher
Concealer for dark shadows
Tiny bit of eye pencil
Mascara
Lipstick

For a special occasion a deeper pink lippy, perhaps some eyeshadow and a bit more eye liner. Oh and 2nd coat mascara

WeCameToDance · 02/01/2019 21:21

I dont tend to do different looks for day/night. Sometimes I do a full on glam look just to go to Tesco and sometimes I will do the bare minimum for an evening out. On average I use -
Light coverage foundation/bb cream
Setting powder
Blusher and highlighter
Eyebrow powder
Eyeshadow, usually around 3 colours from an Urban Decay pallete.
Sometimes liquid liner
Mascara
Lipstick
I really enjoy doing it though and like that its my bit of time in the morning for myself.

shecamefromgreece · 02/01/2019 21:21

Primer
Foundation
Bronzer
Blusher
Highlighter
Eyeshadow
Mascara
Lipliner
Lip balm

Sounds a lot but it looks natural I just look healthy and a bit polished. Im a sahm and am usually very casual with make up I would feel scruffy.

Isth · 02/01/2019 21:22

More than I would like or need to wear, but I’ve gotten into the habit!
Primer, under eye concealer, foundation, setting powder, eyeshadow (normally a couple of neutral shades), liquid winged liner (subtle!), mascara, contour bronzer, highlight, brow pencil, brow gel, lipstick/liner, setting spray
Believe it or not, it doesn’t actually look too heavy as I try to be light in application and choose neutral colours/well suited shades, but I do look ‘done’, so to speak.

Steakbakeislife · 02/01/2019 21:23

Day to day and work is foundation, blusher and mascara. Night out I would add lipstick and eyeliner.

MsSquiz · 02/01/2019 21:24

A standard work day (work from home)
Serum & moisturiser with a little lip balm

An average day (leaving the house)
Serum & moisturiser
2 foundations blended together
Concealer
Setting powder
Bronzer & blush
Eyebrow powder & pencil
Mascara
Lip gloss
Setting spray

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 02/01/2019 21:24

Tinted moisturiser or foundation
Bronzer or blush, but never the two at the same time
Eye pencil
lipstick.

Hate wearing mascara
