Can you zip your biker jacket up?

I have been looking for one for ages and they never seem to fit properly. I ordered one online and love the look and fit but I would have to wear it open as the diagonal zip thingy makes it crazy tight! My friend had advised me to size down and says she can't zip hers. Is this the key to getting a good fit? Thanks in advance.

I can zip mine up. I never do though as I don't like bikers zipped up. Unless you're a biker on a bike...

mycatplotsdeath · 02/01/2019 18:29

Can't zip mine but love the fit so I wear a scarf with it if I'm cold 😀

abigboydidit · 02/01/2019 18:33

I can - just - if I only have a T-shirt but it completely flattens my already non existent boobs. It is a soft leather so am not sure if it would loosen off?

I can zip mine, but it doesn't have as much room as most of my other jackets/coats. I can just about get a thin cardigan under it. If I couldn't zip a jacket, I'd probably size up. Nobody reads the label on the inside!

It's more because of the diagonal zip! The two front edges meet and over lap but the actual zip starts level with my hip so I worry a larger size would just have a big flappy but at the front Blush

36j? Nope Grin

Doesn't matter what the size

abigboydidit · 02/01/2019 18:42

Man - so many typos! Sorry.

Nope 😭 34GG .

Going to try buy something more oversized so it closes closer

abigboydidit · 02/01/2019 19:16

I've ordered the size up to try. It's too much money to be unsure. I may return with photos if I can't decide Confused

I had one from all saints and it looked ridiculous fastened up. I sold it on. It annoyed me that I couldn't fasten it. I bought one from next. Its gorgeous. I sized up and it looks good both ways.

MissMarplesKnitting · 02/01/2019 20:01

Large busted ladies, bravissimo do one cut for those of us blessed with large lady lumps....and it fits really nicely.

abigboydidit · 02/01/2019 20:02

That's what worries me - that it'll get on my nerves that I can't fasten it!

OP posts:
abigboydidit · 02/01/2019 20:03

If I zip it to under my boobs it could act as a rather handy corset Confused

halfwitpicker · 02/01/2019 20:13

Are they actually supposed to fasten?

What a revelation

abigboydidit · 02/01/2019 20:20

That's pretty much how my friend summed it up Wink

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2019 20:36

No - I don't like them fastened.

Sitranced · 02/01/2019 20:42

I can but I don't

thenightsky · 02/01/2019 20:59

I could when I bought it, but Christmas food and drink now means I can't. I need to lose just over a stone to get a thin jumper under it and fasten it.

They look much better undone. with a scarf to fill the gap.

Danglingmod · 02/01/2019 21:02

I've got three (all different colours). Only one can do up so that's the one I wear if it's really cold!

Boredboredboredboredbored · 02/01/2019 21:23

No. I just bought one from Jigsaw size 10 which fits like a glove everywhere else but I can't zip it up. Never would though.

SamBaileys · 02/01/2019 21:26

I can but its snug so I don't. Fits spot on otherwise.

LBOCS2 · 02/01/2019 21:29

I mean, I can... but then I can't walk or sit down. Or breathe. So basically, no 😁

bonzo77 · 02/01/2019 21:32

Yes, but uncomfortably snug if anything thicker than a fine jumper underneath. 30E, might be better if smaller tits.

Villanelley · 02/01/2019 21:34

Just but never, ever do.

GobblersKnob · 02/01/2019 21:35

Yes, 30G, standard ASOS biker. Wouldn't want a jacket I couldn't do up personally.
