Have you got a red handbag?

I’m lusting after handbags and about to make a purchase.
One of the bags on sale ...an excellent bargain is a bright red handbag.
I’m considering it... also have a berry coloured one in the basket but it doesn’t feel a very sensible choice. For the record quite £££££ handbags so not one which I could happily go off after justa week or two!

Yes, a red Balenciaga motorcycle bag. I don't use it often now (did more a few years back) but absolutely love it. I use it more in the summer.

I went to Bluewater today and fell in love with a cherry red large Mulberry Lily in HoF today. Down from £995 to £696. Practical head said the oak or the clay (sort of like a taupe) would be the more practical or sensible choice, but Oh My Days, the red was just glorious.

I didn't buy it though - in the red or a practical colour.....

I really like the berry shade, red is nice but for me personally I'm very much a berry, green, grey type of person. I don't really own a lot of black clothing so I'd struggle with red.

I have a leather satchel in bright red. I love it.

I have a red Kate Spade. I fretted over the colour but it goes with everything.

Yes I've got a red fossil bag. Love it and use it all the time.

I've got a red fabric shoulder bag (brand is Fantasy but it's quite similar in style to some of the Kipling fabric bags). I mostly wear colours that go with red anyway (lots of black, taupe, cream and sometimes leopard print) and wear red accessories, such as scarves and gloves, a lot in winter, so it goes quite well with my style.

I have a red leather cross body bag which I love and goes with everything.

I have a red Kate Spade. It's my favourite now. I did love my lavender Aspinal, my love for Kate (which DH brought me back from America) has just overtaken it.

This is mine! Had it for over 15yrs and it stays in its liberty bag most of the time and I use it when I am wearing black....

I have a gucci hobo in a bright red. I love it. It is a surprisingly neutral colour. I wear alot of tans, navys, khakis and greys so works well with them.

Only thing I will see is it shows up scuffs etc alot more than other colours.

I have a red croc style patent Vivienne Westwood and a Zara leather tote that I use for work a lot. Both work with my rather dull palette of camel, black and navy. Rather like it with a tiny bit of leopard print thrown in for good measure - in a very tasteful way. Both bags make me happy, but especially the VW one.

Have been eyeing up Coach bags today - have a gift card from a return - but not in real need of anything right now.

I have a red Cambridge satchel and love it! I wear lots of darker colours so it's a great way to add a pop of colour!

I quite fancy buying a red bag now!

What sort of coat do you wear with it? I have red waterproof coat and green waterproof coat that I alternate between atm. I feel like I'd have to get a new coat for a red bag.

I have four red bags - two Fossil, which I use every day, a cross body Kipling for holidays/scruffy days out, and a fringey one for evenings. I wear black and denim almost all the time so they lift it nicely.

I tend to dress in quite sober colours, but I have several red bags, which really lifts them.

Most of my bags are a burgundy or berry colour.

I wish I had the money for one of those Coach bags right now. The sale is fabulous.

Shouldn't have clicked on this thread - I want a red bag now! I love bags and have mainly neutral colours, although bought a lovely yellow bag in the summer that I used loads. I like orange too. I can see how red goes with loads of colours.
