Have you got a red handbag?

I’m lusting after handbags and about to make a purchase.
One of the bags on sale ...an excellent bargain is a bright red handbag.
I’m considering it... also have a berry coloured one in the basket but it doesn’t feel a very sensible choice. For the record quite £££££ handbags so not one which I could happily go off after justa week or two!

I have - an M&S tote bag, not huge , it has an inner pocket that zips an there's another zip pocket inside that.

I haven't used it yet but it might have a trip out (I'll wear black and look all brooding and French)

I live in a damp climate, and my bag hasn't had any dye problems.

I can't say what brand it is as the font is so fancy I can't read it. It starts off as Dee.

It won't be an expensive designer bag, but it is leather and really good quality. I bought it at Boundary Mills.

I’ve got a gorgeous bright red Calvin Klein bag which I use occasionally. I could use it more but have a big black Coach tote which I use every day.

I have lots of red handbags - from Coach to Miu Miu and I just ordered a red Smythson backpack in their sale. I love red bags!! I've never had a problem with colour transfer from red bags and I used to live somewhere that was very hot and humid (up to 99% humidity). I also have a thing for red shoes.

I don't get the Mulberry obsession on MN but each to their own.

I just buy bags that are practical. I don't care about the label.

I have the red coach turnlock hobo. I love it. It goes with everything (except pink, but I wear very little pink). Unless you wear lots of pink, go for it!

Yes I do. I love it. It's Osprey, has really funky lining too.

I have a red Loewe puzzle bag with zips and it works in summer with navy Breton and jeans and winter with black jeans and jumpers.
It's a great way to add a pop of colour.
I've never regretted it.

I have a bright red Marc Jacobs. Love it. Looks great against my black coat

I did have but never used it so got rid. It looked fine I just can’t be arsed chopping and changing bags.

I have a bright red Paul Costello I wear with a neutral outfit but matching lip. Fierce!

Yes I have a Mulberry Mabel in red goatskin and the Mulberry Alexa Valentine limited edition.

Alexa and I also have the small clutch from the same range.

I have one and love it.

Leather could do with a buff but my red bag always cheers me

I've got one that I bought about 20 years ago from the Jasper Conran range at Debenhams. It's pillarbox red, no pink or orange tones, and I'm always surprised by how well it goes with almost everything. The only colour I wouldn't pair it with really is green, as it looks a bit "Santa's elf". I don't use it as much as I used to because it's lacking in decent pockets but I would absolutely get another one in that colour.

I have that exact bag and love it. Goes with everything I wear and really lifts an outfit. Definitely recommend.

@CrazySheepLady another Strathberry fan here! Which one do you have? I have a midi tote in pearl grey that I got for my birthday last year, love it.

I have a Longchamp leather cuir bag in cherry red. It's super soft, lightweight and the loveliest red. It fits really well into my wardrobe of grey, navy, black and purple.

As an aside, it works well with my Mac Russian red lipstick.

I have one red envelope clutch bag but none for day-to-day use. I love, love, love red and keep meaning to buy one, but I also love darker colours and lately have been swayed by a couple of blue bags. So the red gets put off til next time. My latest one that I want is an Aspinal tote, but I also really like the red mulberry crossbody bag that someone posted on this thread. And quite a few other mulberry bags in red or red/navy or other patterns. Sigh. So many lovely bags. I’ve ordered a chocolate Le Pliage in the sale, if I end up loving that one I might get another in that lovely cherry red that has been posted on this thread.

Oh forgot to say, @Tobermory, you should definitely get that red bag. The red will be lovely and it will lift every outfit. The berry is pretty too but isn’t quite as versatile.

I have a cherry red, leather, Marc Jacobs bag. Love it looks wise, but it is incredibly heavy.
