I like Chantelle bras too, that, Simone Perele, and La Perla are my go to brands these days.
I love a bit of green quirky, it's a bit scarce these days so it's very much grab it when you see it.
I'm behind but so far I'm enjoying the Italian and French catwalks a lot more. As promised thoughts on the highly anticipated Bottega Veneta show. I did bristle a bit as it also suffered from one decorative touch too many in places but it wasn't as distracting as elsewhere as it felt very Italian who are all about a bit of more is more. The Italians are due a bit of a comeback in a shape that isn't that almost trite la dolce vita thing so I'm all for it.
Loved the clunky boots, though the models looked like they were struggling a bit walking in them, although that may have been on purpose, they were wearing quite severe faces as well. Vaguely there was that warrior vibe from 10-15yrs ago, before it got sexualised and labelled 'empowering'.
I don't know, as said before it was very different. I think it'll be described as cool in a lot of places but it's more than that (and the terms seems to be eroding lately with overuse). I liked the focus on the expanse of skin above the shelf boobs and downplaying cleavage, etc. It felt quite vulnerable somehow to have that open expanse of skin, so close to the heart where the rest felt quite hard and defensive.
It does seem to speak of a certain type of Italian woman that is less the stereotype, not necessarily aiming for refined elegance or full on femininity, quite closely related to the effortless Parisians in a way, though they'll be on a Ducati rather than a scooter.
Whilst not one thing jumped out at me as must buy now (not that I have the BV budget) but it definitely makes me want to have a nose. Though I suspect I'd be more intrigued by the men's section. Okay, I lie, I really like the clunky boots but they'd probably look atrocious on me.
