Anyone with teenage daughters?...

Hi, I have a 13 year old niece and am a bit out of the loop fashion wise! Do teenage girls still like Super Dry and hollister? Was thinking of getting her a hoody for Christmas, but don’t want to be the ‘cringe’ aunt who gets it wrong re labels! 😂
Thanks

At the moment mine likes: Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville (their clothes are all tiny), Unif, Topshop

My 14 yo DD loves the hoodies from Urban Outfitters! Very nice Champion ones if you are willing spend that much

Thejezebel · 06/12/2018 18:26

Nike/Addidas/Superdry are the favs here.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/12/2018 19:19

My DD is 16yo

Champion (from UO or TS)
Tommy Hillfiger
TS jeans
UO jacket
Adidas t-shirt

VS Pink knickers

She does like Primark for random bits.

I would not have a clue what to choose for her though (she's getting vouchers)

My teen DD loves Topshop (I feel bad in light of Philip Green but we're not going to solve the world's problems here) and she loves their hoodies.

Also another vote for Jack Wills. Pink, Hollister etc seem to be out of favour past 12.

I have a image conscious sportswear wearing 14 year old girl who wants everything to have an Adidas or Nike logo( we call it the tick of conformity), but her new fave is a red hollister one.

3 teens here.

My dd (13) has, amongst other things, these on her list:

PUMA fleece track pants
Nike running epic lux tights (JD sports)
victoria secret push up bra Hmm
vouchers - topshop, primark, JD, PLT (?) Pink
High waist joggers from pink (?)
Puma hoodie (JD sports)
PJs from PINK (I assume this is victoria Secret)
victoria secret perfume (cheaper from superdrug)
grey speckle brushed joggers from select
Joni jeans - topshop
Nick air max 97 trainers
Longchamp La Pillage bag

Don't know if that helps!

She goes to a cool inner london school by the way. I'd say no one wears Hollister or Jack Wills. Most of them are in sports wear or primark. Topshop jeans or black leggings.

Also has North Face jacket on her list too.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/12/2018 17:55

PLT (?)

My DD has a PLT (Pretty Little Things) account with free next day delivery , so I am now used to their pink unicorn patterned bags arriving.

She's just bought herself 2 hoodies and a pair of leggings ( £55 all in) which is far cheaper than TS or UO.
Quality is ok for price , some of the clothes I'm yeah right , you're not wearing THAT

They are all very different and it is so easy to get it wrong what’s in one minute is out the next. DD 13 had totally gone off anything branded then spied a Champion hoody in sale in Topshop she suddenly wanted for Christmas. DS 14 is always changing his mind about which brands he likes. Certain groups of kids like certain brands Superdry is no longer cool. I would just ask the girl better than getting it wrong.
