Microblading reassurance

So....been umming and aaaahing for about a year, researched it all etc.
Went to get them done this morning.
All went fine, was happy with the shape that was drawn on.
I've got home and I'm horrified. Dark and thick.
I know that this is the first step, and I know they are meant to fade and reduce as the healing process continues, but please can some of you who have been through this reassure me? I'm really happy with the shape but kind of worried right now!

Pic?

JoyceDivision · 23/11/2018 20:16

Argh I'm booked in for this, you're scaring me!

wecantallbeperfect · 23/11/2018 20:19

I had mine done at the end of September and had my top up 2 weeks ago. Don't panic they really do fade!

I know they look very dark at first but mine have faded to the colour she intended and they look great.

If I feel brave I will try and post non scary picGrin

JoyceDivision · 23/11/2018 20:19

Wecantallbeperfect please post a pic!

wecantallbeperfect · 23/11/2018 20:20

They definitely do fade, don't worry! I had mine done a couple of years ago and I had the darkest shade in stock, because I've always drawn mine on black. They lightened considerably as they healed. Unfortunately mine were wonky so I still have to draw over them, but still glad I had it done as I have no natural brows Grin

wecantallbeperfect · 23/11/2018 20:23

I think it's posted! I admit when I got home after the first treatment I felt exactly the same as you, but I had seen loads of brows that this person had done so I had faith that they would turn out as she said they would.

They are a mixture of colours and look really natural. In fact my best friend who dies microblading hasn't noticed they look so natural Smile

Kittykat93 · 23/11/2018 20:37

Can you post a pic op?

It's probably partly the shock of seeing thicker darker and fuller eyebrows. And also as others have said they will fade!!

kerrynov7 · 23/11/2018 21:20

Both from today in different light.
They really do look like they've been painted in right now and hubby can't stop laughing at me, asking if I've decided to do Movember for brows (which I'm obviously not amused about!!) I specifically didn't want slugs, or to look like everyone else with the giant brows as I can't stand them! Just wanted shape and no eyebrow pencil in the mornings!!!!

I've had mine done 3 times and every time I panic, even though I KNOW how much they fade. I looked like the little red one from angry birds last time m, but now they are perfect.

Kittykat93 · 23/11/2018 21:25

They aren't giant slugs at all op. Once they've lightened up a bit they'll look fab. I already think they suit your face.

It's obviously a massive shock to you but to people on the street they wouldn't look twice. (That sounds awful I don't mean it like that!!)

OuchLegoHurts · 23/11/2018 21:27

My friend got them done a few weeks ago and they looked worse than yours. A week later they were amazing and now I keep forgetting she's even got them done, they're so natural

kerrynov7 · 23/11/2018 21:27

Thanks kittykat93
I'm literally staring in shock in the mirror feeling terrified about seeing anyone as I feel a fright!
I wore a beanie hat pulled down over most of my face this afternoon to collect my daughter from school!
For reference, I'm used to the attached.
Big difference...

I think that they look perfect.
They really frame your face, better than the before pic imo

villainousbroodmare · 23/11/2018 21:38

I think they will fade quickly and be fine. You're gorgeous btw!

Chesneyhawkes1 · 23/11/2018 21:39

I really like them. They really suit you

Elzbells · 23/11/2018 21:39

They look great, suit you much better than the befores.

CS12345 · 23/11/2018 21:39

Panic ye not - they look fab and I'm not a fan of micro whatever eyebrows.

shamofamockery · 23/11/2018 21:42

They're a really good shape, you are super gorgeous OP, I think that they're a tiny shade lighter than your hair which may be why you are noticing them, but they look great!

FortyFacedFuckers · 23/11/2018 21:42

I cried on the way home from mine but now I love them and I am planning on getting them redone now that they are starting to fade.

Op yours look lovely and don’t look to dark on you!

Namechanger55555 · 23/11/2018 21:45

They do fade.
I'm not a professional in any way. But I mixed bicarbonate of soda and peroxide scrubbed it into my skin (with a cotton bud) and pasted it on my brows for a few days in a row.
It hurt so much as it's already raw. But I think it helped to fade mine further.

I acknowledge this was a little extreme!

Accountant222 · 23/11/2018 22:13

I had mine done about a year ago, they are fine I just do a bit of pencil infilling

MaryJenson · 23/11/2018 22:16

Please DO NOT do this!

Apply Bepanthen only

fruitshot · 23/11/2018 22:22

Op, they will look nothing like that in a week. Give it a month and you will be shocked at how different they are from day one.

It's literally the best thing I've ever done. I'm blonde with non existent coloured brows. I went mid brown and they looked black! 8 months in, I'm now wondering when I should book a top up as they are a lovely light brown but I quite liked them a little darker a few months back (I promise they fade!!!)

fruitshot · 23/11/2018 22:23

A little tip, glycolic acid will fade them if you really hate them a month in. But they will not be that colour I promise.
