Oh, what a shame about your DH soy but glad he's feeling a bit better. And after you went to all that effort to find the perfect silk blouse to go with your gorgeous sequins! Hope you find another occasion to wear the outfit even if just hoovering! It definitely sounds as if you have a plan for next year though, which is really exciting, moving to the next "stage" of life. And good that you can continue working for a bit and keep a foot in the UK to keep some continuity there.
I think it's the exercise that is lacking for me, and I do need to start doing more of. well, and cutting down the needless snacking Moreso after watching that mariella f thing on menopause and bone density etc. I'm sure my bones are doing that honeycomb thing, but the only exercise I have "enjoyed" ( swimming/ yoga stuff) doesn't do much for that I think. I'm just not a running/ Zumba kind of person really. And, yes, I have days at work where I don't leave the house, which isn't good for step count or mental health, really!
On the clothes front, I love the bargainous stretchy h and m trousers Gin suggested. And also the cosy jumper. On me, I don't think they work together, but I have the jumper on now with some straight jeans - and a long length vest, cos it is VERY short... but not quite cropped.
I also really like the hush primrose dress. It's got some strange cut- out detail down the centre seams on the front and back which isn't clear from the picture online ( I thought it was sort of embroidery) but it's not too weird. it's a good weight, and hangs well as its lined (would have to be, to stop the cut-outs being indecent!).
Also like the Ceres skirt, though not sure how much use it'll get after Christmas. Also, other than a black jumper, not sure how to style!
I'll post pictures if I get a chance this afternoon. The light had gone by the time I tried them on yesterday.
So glad you've decided to keep the dress never! You'll look great on Christmas day!
