Best socks ever

What are your favourite socks? I have some Falke Softmerino but they go bobbly. I have some Transparenze ribbed wool socks but can't stand the feeling of the ribbed bit under my feet, also they feel a bit synthetic.

Does anyone have any fine wool socks they can recommend? Also after sleek ankle socks made to be seen.

I had some lovely wool socks from Fat Face - I think they were a merino mix. Sadly DH shrank my last remaining pair so I need to source some new ones.

Muji

Grumpbum123 · 17/11/2018 19:28

I hate to admit it but Sainsbury’s

DoraJar · 17/11/2018 19:30

Sorry the Muji ones are cotton - but I love them (DH has taken to wearing them too).

I don’t have ant fine wool ones but do have some lovely cashmere ones from Brora

DoraJar · 17/11/2018 19:31

Any!

mypoosmellsofroses · 17/11/2018 19:33

BAM not wool but the nicest socks I have ever worn!

Ofthread · 17/11/2018 19:41

Oh yes, the Muji ones are good! 3 for £10 too.

I love my bamboo socks.

Hoppinggreen · 17/11/2018 19:43

BAM keep sending me free socks, no idea why but they are lovely

thenorthernluce · 17/11/2018 19:47

Seasalt bamboo sailor socks - practically indestructible and soooooo comfy.

Otherwise, hand knitted wool socks from Latvia (so cosy and warm). Bought from market stall in Riga.

Tea Treat socks are just the best. Never bobble, don't go a bit hard with lots of washing. Lovely and soft. I do like the feel of Bam(?) Socks, the bamboo ones, but they have double thickness on the toe which I'm not keen on

Fakingit36 · 17/11/2018 20:32

We are in the US and swear by Smart Wool socks . They are very high quality, warm, lots of styles. We are gradually throwing out all the socks that are not them!

How about these?

Bamboo socks by Thought

totallyliterally · 18/11/2018 10:28

I get bamboo socks in tk max and totally converted to bamboo now.

Now on the seasalt site looking at theirs!

LadyLapsang · 18/11/2018 10:44

I love Falke and was lucky enough to pick up 10 pairs for 2.99 a pair yesterday. My feet will be stylish and toasty!

LadyLapsang · 18/11/2018 10:53

If you have £80 to spare, the Outnet has a pair of cashmere mix socks reduced from £160Wink

BikeRunSki · 18/11/2018 10:58

Another vote for Bam, but I prefer the feel of the bamboo socks from Thought (thetiesnkt not double thickness). Bam do better colours and designs though.

cardoon · 18/11/2018 11:14

Where from LadyL?

Ofthread · 18/11/2018 12:03

Sorry to derail own thread but this pic is hilarious:

It's funny that they've styled the men's and women's socks the same way, that's unusual.

Cardoon, TK Maxx.

luckylavender · 18/11/2018 18:48

I second Seasalt. I also got free BAM socks sent to me this week and they are very nice too.

SpamChaudFroid · 18/11/2018 19:13

Sock shop have nice socks. Including bamboo. Shorter than average ankle socks, yet taller than trainer socks, so just the right length to sit just above the ankle bone.
