I really like it!!!
But if it's languished for so long and you don't feel it then probably best move it on... x

timeisnotaline · 13/11/2018 17:44

I wouldn’t say too short at all with opaques but I don’t love that particular skirt. I don’t mind it but you could do better.

CountFosco · 13/11/2018 17:46

That makes me nostalgic for a tiny prussian blue suede skirt (Topshop size 10!) I bought in the mid 90s. I loved it. DH loved it. Half the men at Uni loved it. I wore it with black opaques, DMs and a tiny black t-shirt (remember when we all wore kids t-shirts). Sigh. I put that skirt to the charity shop years ago, I wish I'd kept it for the memories. If you loved it as much as I loved mine then keep it. Otherwise chuck.

DavetheCat2001 · 13/11/2018 17:49

@CountFosco - I know exactly the vibe you are talking about! I used to have a suede A-line mini skirt that I bought from Kensington market in my goth days back in 1990..I loved it! That very triangular a-line was bang on trend then!

You look lovely keep it!

VickieCherry · 13/11/2018 17:51

The length is fine but I don't like the skirt - too Elmer and too flared. But go buy another, nicer one and enjoy the great legs!

Llongyfarchiadau · 13/11/2018 17:51

It's lovely. Keep it!

Just wear it with very thick tights. Surely that would be no worse than a short tunic being worn with leggings?

DavetheCat2001 · 13/11/2018 17:51

@DonDrapersOldFashioned - I didn't take your response as snippy at all x
I asked for opinions and you gave yours. I prefer people to be honest..nothing worse than going shopping with someone who is determined to tell you that everything you try on looks AMAAAAAZING when you really know you look like a bag of shit!

Hmm. Going to go out on a limb, and say if you would describe yourself as a quirky dresser, you may consider adding a short frill in a colour from the skirt, to add some length to it. Otherwise, maybe a bit too short.

theuntameableshrew · 13/11/2018 18:32

I love it and it looks great on you. Agree with others who’ve said wear with black leggings. It’s quirky and fab

ZenNudist · 13/11/2018 18:37

Dont like patchwork but you are fine in short skirts with thick tights.

OHolyNightOwl · 13/11/2018 18:57

I like it and I like it on you! Keep!

MoltonSilver · 13/11/2018 18:59

You look great. The skirt doesnt.

Conseulabananahammock · 13/11/2018 19:02

Love it. Id totally wear it with doc martens and a funky jumper. My dress sense is slightly odd though Grin
Length is great on you though, your legs are amazing!!

Sitranced · 13/11/2018 19:11

I love it, it looks great.

ferrier · 13/11/2018 19:12

You and the skirt look great. Ibwouldnt go as far as leggings. Good quality opaque black tights and Doc Martens would be just right. But I'm old too.

DavetheCat2001 · 13/11/2018 19:18

I am wearing opaique tights in the pic.. are they not thick enough?

Hmm seems to be a real 50/50 split on it.. i think it'll be going. As someone pointed out upthread, if it's been languishing in my wardrobe for all that time, there's probably a good reason!

VictoriaBun · 13/11/2018 19:21

I'm guessing it's leather / suede. Was around in the 70s if I'm correct. I would try vintage shops as you might make £20 on it !

ferrier · 13/11/2018 19:24

They look good. You look good.
But if you don't feel comfortable in it then you'll be thinking about it all the time. Either 'own it'! or let it go.

Reluctant2ndtimer · 13/11/2018 19:27

I love it! I’d totally wear it and I’m old, sod what other people think old women wear.

ineedteanownotlater · 13/11/2018 19:30

@DavetheCat2001 what size is it? I love it!

Laska3Meryl · 13/11/2018 19:33

hello Dave Hope you are ok , I like the skirt, Smile

AmazingGrace16 · 13/11/2018 19:33

I flipping love it! Looks great on you. I tend to wear stuff I like without necessarily thinking about if it totally suits me or not. I would wear it that short and I don't have a great figure at all.

TheFaerieQueene · 13/11/2018 19:35

I think it is fun.

mummymayhem18 · 13/11/2018 19:36

I think it suits you. If you like it keep it. Is that an Orla Kiely bag I spot there ? 👍 x
