I think learning ladylike accomplishments was about the extent of the education most aristocratic women received at the time, as a good marriage was expected to be their goal.
Going to school was unusual (Princess Alexandra was apparently the first ever princess to attend school) and university was unheard of - even Diana and Princess Anne who were educated in the 60s and 70s weren't expected to go to university.
Quite a contrast to Queen Margarethe of Denmark who attended Cambridge, the Sorbonne and LSE!
