So im going out for my OH birthday in December, with a few couples, a meal and a few drinks in a city.
Last year we went and it was freezing! The bars will be casual nothing too dressy. Ive found this jumper and quite like it, would wear with black tights and accessorise with some dangly earings (maybe black ones)
What does everyone think? Should i keep looking? Its the first top ive come across with sparkles!

Sorry but I really don’t like the combination of sparkles and Bardot style plus the top doesn’t seem to sit right on you. Warehouse has quite a few tight fitting sparkle tops at the mo in various colours if you want to look at their website.

Sitranced · 07/11/2018 11:26

The neckline doesn't look quite right. I would suggest a v neck or a scoop neck. The sparkles and skirt looks good though.

pinkhorse · 07/11/2018 11:29

The top isn't very flattering. Do you have a bra on or maybe a strapless one? I think I'd choose a top where I could wear a bra with straps underneath. I have this problem myself.

OwThatsGottaHurt · 07/11/2018 11:32

You have lovely legs!!! I'd go for all covered up too with the short skirt and cosy black tights

OwThatsGottaHurt · 07/11/2018 11:32

Top not too

Loveagoodbook · 07/11/2018 11:32

Aah ok, like i said its the first one ive seen, just want some sparkles and long sleeves!
I do have a bra on but ive just pulled the straps down to try the top on.

Won't you find a bardot top too cold in freezing weather?

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 07/11/2018 11:40

I’m not keen on the top, I think I thin black polo neck top would look nice with the skirt. But the skirt also needs pulling up higher and sitting at a straight line across your waist. You could also had some kind of fur gilet or shaggy cardigan for texture and jewellery,m.

The style of top doesn’t flatter your figure and the colour washes out your complexion sorry! I’d go for a scoop neck black top and tights with that skirt.

Loveagoodbook · 07/11/2018 11:42

LoniceraJaponica no ill have a coat on too! And probably gloves and a hat 😂

GingerFoxInAT0phat, i dont think i could get it up any higher over my hips.
Trying yo loose a few pounds too, before the date!

I rather like this for a bit of sparkle

Cherries101 · 07/11/2018 12:43

What city are you going out in? If Central London you would need to make more of an effort even for casual places. In that context a pair of skinny jeans and a nice long sleeved top, or a long sleeved dress with opaque tights, might look better.

Loveagoodbook · 07/11/2018 12:52

Thanks BitOutOfPractice.
No its not London, its Liverpool.

SilentIsla · 07/11/2018 12:57

I like it!

dontgobaconmyheart · 07/11/2018 14:06

Sorry OP but I'm not a big fan of the top, I don't think it flatters you as much as it could (shape and colour) and am sure you could find better, the shops will be teeming with sparkly tops and jumpers shortly in the run up to xmas. Agree the skirt higher on the waist would also be more on trend too.
A polo neck or high neck would look great, i just googled 'sparkle polo neck jumper' and there were a fair few, looked some nice ones at Warehouse!

Loveagoodbook · 07/11/2018 20:05

I like this one 😀

I really like it OP, I think you just need to adjust the top by pulling it down your shoulders and over your boobs a bit (and will probably have to keep doing so throughout the night) MN hates Bardot tops, but I quite like them and I love the bronze sparkly fabric. Just take a blazer or other light jacket for if it's freezing

SuperstarDJ · 07/11/2018 20:32

^ I don’t hate Bardot tops silk it’s just that one doesn’t fit the OP properly and so isn’t very flattering.

BifsWif · 07/11/2018 20:34

I think the stripy polo you just posted with the skirt and tights would look lovely.

You have great legs!

SilentIsla · 07/11/2018 20:34

Flattering? I think the OP looks modern and funky. Great look.

SilentIsla · 07/11/2018 20:35

A boring old polo for an evening out? Huh?

MistyMinge · 07/11/2018 20:35

I like the skirt and boots, but you need to add opaque black tights. I think you could find a nicer top. I can't put my finger on it, but that one doesn't look quite right.

socksortights · 07/11/2018 20:36

I love the outfit ! You look great :)
