I'm one and I don't.

ImHudsonHesHicks · 06/11/2018 14:27

I did as a teen after people started to mention it quite often. I think I may be part chimpanzee.
I stopped waxing years ago and just shave them off these days.
It's nice not having to wear long sleeve tops all the time.

CrookedMe · 06/11/2018 14:30

No, humans are mammals and are meant to have hair! I have no urge to become entirely hairless.

knockknockknock · 06/11/2018 14:32

Yep I do. I hate having long black hairs on fair skin. Don't see the difference between arms and legs 🤷🏼‍♀️

MyBambi · 06/11/2018 15:16

The effort and pain..I mean I get rid of the basics..Just couldn't do my arms Shock

I don't - I think it looks really weird when you see women with totally bald arms. I do know a couple of women who do, but they're not in the majority. Mind you, I don't do my legs or underarms either, so perhaps I'm not the one to ask...

Seniorschoolmum · 06/11/2018 16:00

No, me neither and I’m a brunette. In the summer my arms are brown and my arm hair is fine soft and sun bleached. In the winter I wear long sleeves. Smile

ImHudsonHesHicks · 06/11/2018 16:02

It doesn't look like I've no arm hair. Anyone seeing me would just assume I had light, fine hairs.
I don't see a difference from shaving legs, armpits and bikini line to arm hairs. It's much better than the alternative of really noticeable hairy arms.

pisner · 06/11/2018 16:03

i got mine lasered

JeanPagett · 06/11/2018 16:03

I bleached mine when I was young and self conscious. I'm fair with dark hair and I thought it was very obvious. Couldn't be arsed today.

LockedOutOfMN · 06/11/2018 16:04

In Spain where we live it's very common for women to do this. I am fair and not very hairy so don't bother. Some women get laser treatment for it too (laser is very popular for bikini line, also armpits and legs).

Belindabauer · 06/11/2018 16:05

No I dont.

Chocolatepeanuts · 06/11/2018 16:05

Yes but ive had a complex since a little.couson told me at 16 i had arms like her daddy (and tbf she was right). I dont have normal hair, ob my arms, its thick black and long like a very hairy man. I was so self conscious of it when i was younger but not so much now. Wax maybe twice a year.

RatRolyPoly · 06/11/2018 16:06

I shaved mine for a while as a teenager; I'd read it in Just 17 or Bliss Magazine or some such, and it was awful! I had spotty, stubbly arms with ingrowing hairs on and everything - not fun. I imagine waxing's much better but mostly I just can't be arsed. I can barely be bothered with my legs.

I did also once wax my whole face in my twenties, just as a bit of experiment really. I was horrified at how much fluff was on the wax strips, but after that point the only thing I noticed was how chilly my face felt when the wind blew... It was a one-off occurrence.

bringbackthestripes · 06/11/2018 16:08

Nope, it’s not something I would consider doing.

MyBambi · 06/11/2018 16:29

Shaving not make it worse??Shock
Even the arm pits made me cringe I couldn't do it 😂

PurpleDaisies · 06/11/2018 16:32

No.

lenalove · 06/11/2018 16:45

I used to until very recently - the pain just got too much to bear!! Now I just use Veet hair removal cream, does the trick. Have my dad's dark Mediterranean hair on my mum's fair Scandi skin...nightmare...

stickygotstuck · 06/11/2018 16:45

Nope.

Let's not hope it does not become widespread /fashionable. That way expectation and embarrassment /shame lie. And humans have better things to worry about, especially female ones with all the stuff already in their plates.

stickygotstuck · 06/11/2018 16:46

*Let's hope it does not!

ImHudsonHesHicks · 06/11/2018 16:48

Shaving doesn't make it worse for me. If I do let them grow back they're only slightly stubbly for a bit but only to touch, not visibly. Shaving doesn't make the hairs thicker or darker, they're just not tapered at the ends.

2128Cl · 06/11/2018 17:04

I leave my arm hair as it is.

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/11/2018 17:06

I epilate mine, have done for years.
My body, my hair, my choice.

GreenTurtle1 · 06/11/2018 18:49

I do and it doesn't hurt me. Underarms are an absolute bitch though!

Girlsnightin · 06/11/2018 19:26

I used my Philips Lumia on mine a few times which killed off the majority. And now shave any random tufts every 6 months or so.
I'm v dark and hairy and it makes me less chimpanzee like.
