Yes or no to a jumpsuit...

Need an outfit for an evening event at the end of the month.

Spotted this is Phase Eight yesterday but can't decide on anything! Always appreciate the S&B thoughts and opinions, so over to you.

Yes or no to the actual outfit (I've never worn a jumpsuit before!)

If yes, green or red as the colour? I wear alot of red so this a safe colour choice, but I love the green on the hangar, and then put it on and wasn't sure!

Also, the fit of the green v's the red? Green is a 14, red is a 16.

Will go with majority!

This is much nicer. But perhaps slightly too high on the neck....

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and your comments about my figure - I don't feel that it's lovely, it it's nice to hear!

Love some of those V-Neck jumpsuits and the idea of wrap around too, but take the point about when I need to wee - would be embarrassing not being able to get it done up again.

I wasn't sure about the frills on the sleeves, but like the idea of them giving some coverage to my flabby/bingo wing arms.

Will go back to the drawing board and see what else I can come up with, but I think a red and a green one is going to be the outcome Wink

A vote for green!

bitofabelly · 05/11/2018 08:01

That one is lovely peachy

Skittlesandbeer · 05/11/2018 08:14

The back view is what counts with jumpsuits. Notoriously tricky to make work. The front can look stylish and avant gard and the back look like a toddler in a nappy.

Double check before you invest! Get someone to take a picture on your phone. Twisting around to see won’t do.

You have a fab figure. Not a jumpsuit but I think you'd suit this LOVE this from ASOS! www.asos.com/au/prd/10698623

Shampaincharly · 05/11/2018 08:32

Yes , one of those red ones had the crotch at the knees!
Seriously though, it is tricky dressing and undressing for loo visits .
I remember that from my 20 s AND I do not want to have any delay now Grin

ZenNudist · 05/11/2018 08:35

I am really sorry but I don't think that is the jumpsuit for you. I think the Scoop neckline and funny flappy sleeve design is not really doing anything for you. I'm not sure what kind of scaffolding you would need to hike your boobs up I think it might just be the dress that makes you look like you've got boobs around your waist!!

You've clearly got a good figure I probably find something else that might show it off better.

Floisme · 05/11/2018 08:45

I agree with Skittles about the rear view of jump suits - I don’t think they do many of us any favours. I also agree with other posters that the neckline and the frill on the sleeves don’t make the most of your figure - they give you a square shape. And that’s without thinking about all the impracticalities.

I think palazzo trousers and a separate top would give you a much better shape and still look modern.

I think I prefer the green but I may be projecting as I find it much easier to wear than red.

An update:

I bought the green one (& another in purple too!!) in the size 14.

I bought the Best bra ever - you were all so right, what I was wearing was badly fitted and so have subsequently ended up with a new lingerie wardrobe!

Wore it with silver heels and a silver clutch bag to a work do last night.

The compliments I received where insane. Still getting them today (though starting to think I must dress like a heffer day to day)

Thank you Style & Beauty board :)

Green fits better. I like both colours and think the both look good on you...apart from thenecklone and that general area. I think you need a v neck and no frills around the arm holes. Something about it is throwing it off slightly. Otherwise they show your figure off beautifully.

So glad you bought the green! Definitely my favourite Smile. (Also glad you didn't listen to those telling you to get a different style, you looked ace and the ones you tried on were much nicer than the alternatives suggested. Very classy!)
