Yes or no to a jumpsuit...

Need an outfit for an evening event at the end of the month.

Spotted this is Phase Eight yesterday but can't decide on anything! Always appreciate the S&B thoughts and opinions, so over to you.

Yes or no to the actual outfit (I've never worn a jumpsuit before!)

If yes, green or red as the colour? I wear alot of red so this a safe colour choice, but I love the green on the hangar, and then put it on and wasn't sure!

Also, the fit of the green v's the red? Green is a 14, red is a 16.

Will go with majority!

I like the red. I think you have boobs that would look fab in a lower cut top. IMO the style you have on is more for the small of boob.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 04/11/2018 18:19

I agree the neckline is too high for you. Colour-wise, both look nice but it’s hard to say which suits you best without seeing your face/hair/eye colouring! Sorry, not very helpful.

I find jumpsuits and play suits very inconvenient when you need to wee!

TheOrigRightsofwomen · 04/11/2018 18:20

Since it's an evening do, maybe some sparkles or sequins would look good.

Icklepup · 04/11/2018 18:24

Definitely red

Lorddenning1 · 04/11/2018 18:25

I don't like either :( I think the high neck line does you no favours, I think you could find a better outfit

Racecardriver · 04/11/2018 18:32

Yes. Try a button down. You are lucky to have generous busom but that kind of cut tends to make larger breasted women look matronly (I speak from experience).

Racecardriver · 04/11/2018 18:32

A v neck wrap style may also work well.

Shampaincharly · 04/11/2018 18:35

Green.
You look full busted.
The high neck emphasises it .
Remember jump suits are a pain if you need to use the loo.

AnythingConsidered · 04/11/2018 18:36

For those who think a different outfit, any suggestions?

Budget £100-125
Hair is chin length, dark red bob without a fringe. Eyes are dark brown

Interesting comments about the boobs, they are like spaniel ears since the weight loss but the padded bra is working!

I think both are nice but prefer the fit of the green. I think a dress would look even nicer though.

Did not say there was anything wrong with it . I have a large bust myself , and a small waist , so perhaps I am projecting. Smile

Lorddenning1 · 04/11/2018 19:05

I am a fan of the empire style dress fits for big busted ladies

Shampaincharly · 04/11/2018 19:07

Empire makes you look as if you have no waist .

OP does have one and show it off .

LovingLiving · 04/11/2018 19:11

I like the green. What does it look like with heels?

EdWinchester · 04/11/2018 19:15

No! Sorry.

Neither of them are flattering.

I would get try something with a lower neckline and a different waist.

Undercoverbanana · 04/11/2018 19:16

Sorry but I’m not keen. The flappy bits on the sleeves look odd and I think the neckline makes you look bigger than you are. I’ve got a wrap over topped one (Primark £15.00 and much admired) which I secure with a hidden safety pin so it is a v-shape just above the cleavage. Even my 19 year old DD likes it. Much more flattering if you have a bust.

TheOrigRightsofwomen · 04/11/2018 19:22

On phone so not easy to link but I like this.

Yes or no to a jumpsuit...
Charley50 · 04/11/2018 19:22

Sorry I don't like them either. I think you'd look great in a different jump suit though.

snowone · 04/11/2018 19:26

Red.....with Gold accessories! It looks lovely and I would highly recommend bravissimo for a bra fitting

MikeUniformMike · 04/11/2018 19:30

I prefer the green, the colour really suits you. The red is ok. I would go for a lower v neckline.

verite · 04/11/2018 19:39

Green. Both colour and fit.

7salmonswimming · 04/11/2018 19:46

Congratulations on the weight loss!

I have two issues with jump suits:

  1. Going to the loo is a nightmare
  1. Unless you have no bum or hips or fat and also have long legs, there’s almost always an expanse of fabric from lower back to thighs which streeeeeetches over your arse and makes you look wider and bigger than you actually are. They’re really really tricky to pull off.

You’ve got a lovely waist, arms with great tone and boobs (agree with the bra comment). I’d go for a tight sleeveless top, tucked in at the waist to a flared A-like skirt, worn with heels. Something maybe 50s style. Go with a 50s shape bra and the top needn’t have a low neckline. Make something of your boobs and waist!!

I’ve got this in a 14, the 16 was a bit big. I get compliments....and I don’t get so many of those these days,

You’ve got a lovely figure biut I think worth trying a v neck...

Atalune · 04/11/2018 19:51

Don’t. Wear 50s style!!!

A wrap jumpsuit would flatter your boobs and really show off your fantastic figure to its best.

Red with gold accessories will be gorgeous.
