Is available in stores and online from Thursday 1st November.

It costs £35, if you spend £35 on clothing, beauty or home.

I can't wait to get one and start opening it in December, I've had a sneaky look at the contents online and its looks very good this year.

I haven't been sent an email either I do have a Sparks card

I've never bought one, I know I wouldn't use half the items.

Does everyone avoid looking at the contents to get the surprise? I shall follow the Grand Reveal Thread vicariously Grin

I got one today in store and they were really pushing them. I was talking to the cashier and she told me they were keeping a tally - had sold about 75 on her bank of tills since yesterday but they weren't flying out or anything. Apparently they've sent less to stores and kept more for online this year.

adaisy1394 · 02/11/2018 13:58

Got one yesterday and needed some slippers for DP anyway but out of interest, what stops you buying the qualifying £35 worth of stuff and then taking it back after but not returning the calendar? Checked Ts&C's and it doesn't say anything that would not allow this...

TokyoSushi · 02/11/2018 14:18

Nothing i don't think, their returns are usually really easy so I expect that you could do that

SuperstarDJ · 02/11/2018 15:46

Nothing I don’t think. I ordered a pair of shoes and if they don’t fit/ I don’t like them on, I’ll just be returning the shoes. I won’t be returning the calendar as well.

LascellesMoustache · 02/11/2018 19:25

Purchased! There were loads in my store today, all piled up. Looking forward to Dec 1st Smile

ElfrideSwancourt · 02/11/2018 19:30

I've just ordered one online- I bought stocking presents for the £35 and the advent calendar will be a birthday present for DD1 as her birthday is beginning of Dec.
I have told her she's getting it so I can't accidentally forget to give it to her ----and keep it for me

YouWereRight · 02/11/2018 21:07

Last year I bought pants, tights, soap and MIL a pair of slippers. This year I don't need any of those. I think I'm not going to bother.

HLBug · 02/11/2018 21:15

Picked mine up in store today - haven't looked at the contents so will be keeping it a big surprise. Can't wait!!

mimosaic · 02/11/2018 22:23

I've never bought the calendar before but am now really excited by it. Can anyone please tell me what sorts of things tend to be in it? PM me please if others don't want spoilers!

TheClitterati · 02/11/2018 22:26

I had one in my basket, but on closer inspection all the sizes were tiny. They have massively over valued it at £250 or £280 for a box of samples.

I decided not to get it after all.

ritzbiscuits · 02/11/2018 23:01

Just took the plunge and got mine! Husband is away and dealing with an overtired, emotional child, so needed something to cheer me up.

Ended up buying Neom Pillow Spray, Burts Bees Hand Cream and the two tone initial mug for work. Those mugs love lovely and would be great for stocking fillers/secret santa.

TipseyTorvey · 03/11/2018 07:19

Very excited as thanks to seeing this thread have ordered mine now along with two tops I didnt need so will probably send one back. I have a question though as I didn't get one last year. Do you lot put it on the mantlepiece with the kids calendars or keep it secret in your room and open each door by yourself to savour? I'm trying to work out if I can be bothered to spin a whole 'the elves got mummy one this year too' story so the DC see me getting nice things and learn that giving mummy presents is a GREAT idea 😀.

ritzbiscuits · 03/11/2018 10:15

Mine will be going alongside my DS, though we buy the advent calendars in our house (no elf magic involved!)

Can you just tell them you bought it yourself (or will they even ask?)

Raydan · 03/11/2018 22:22

Got mine today and opened it all (seem to be the it one to have done that Grin). Already cracked into the ren night cream and the This Works pillow spray. Contents generally quite complexion friendly. There's one coloured lip product and I'm not keen on the shade, but a friend might want it. Well worth the money.

Richlyfruited · 04/11/2018 08:31

Sold out online now!

sluj · 04/11/2018 08:46

I took a look at one yesterday and will be off to get it from a bigger store today. I have to say the box doesnt look particularly christmassy so im not sure it will be going on the mantelpiece. That's a bit disappointing.

PurpleNovember · 04/11/2018 09:10

@Raydan I would ask MN to edit your post if I were you, as you've included spoilers Shock

Raydan · 04/11/2018 09:27

@PurpleNovember eh the contents are written very clearly on the back of the box...like very clearly. Not trying to ruin anyone's fun but the contents are staring you in the face!

woodhill · 04/11/2018 09:28

Got mine, put away for Christmas

kaldefotter · 04/11/2018 09:29

The contents are also listed on the M&S website. Raydan’s post is definitely not a ‘spoiler’!

woodhill · 04/11/2018 09:34

It would be great to hold off about the contents of the calendar till first of December. I agree you can see what's in it on the back but I put mine away.

I think my upbringing is deeply in grained.

sluj · 04/11/2018 09:34

I'm sure I'm not the only one who won't be studying the back of the box though. I like the daily surprise Smile

Kochicoo · 04/11/2018 09:35

Yeah but a lot of us will have studiously avoided reading the M&S contents list so that we get a small surprise each day. That's the nicest thing about the calendar for me Smile
