Really like it, but I wouldn't pay £190 for it!

EnidButton · 23/10/2018 18:27

I disagree that it's for someone very young. I mean, it can be but Monsoon's target market isn't women under 25 and I don't think the cut of this dress is particularly very young. It's not 'old' either just there's nothing about it screaming teenager at me.

FabulousTomatoes · 23/10/2018 18:34

I agree with Enid. In fact I just asked teen dd who said it would be cool for a festival if it were “shorter, tighter and cut in half as a co-ord” (I think she means a crop too and mini skirt). So I really can’t think who the target market would be. It’s too mumsy for a young person and too whacky for an oldie.

Jazzy! I used to have a similar dress when I was young and slender...mine was about £8 from Primark though! I wore mine with black heels and a black bag.

Avegemitesandwich · 23/10/2018 18:44

@BrieandChilli that dress is gorgeous, but doesn't have very good reviews, everyone says the sequins come off (it's from Very isn't it?)

I am loving this one from Very but I'm not sure about the one shoulder bare arm...

That warehouse one linked upthread is gorgeous! I have a big Christmas party this year and want to go sequins, but I already have 'suitable' dresses so probably shouldn't spend anymore!

DavetheCat2001 · 23/10/2018 18:49

I don't like the shoes the model is wearing with it, makes it look frumpy.

kenandbarbie · 23/10/2018 18:58

Great if you're planning on going on holiday to Ibiza in 1998.

LikeCherOnlyTiny · 23/10/2018 19:09

Tbf, a lot of the people in the right age group to pull it off (say 16-25) could well have mum’s who wore similar clubbing in the 90s. And have memories of seeing such in the wardrobe as kids.

God I feel old now.

IHeartKingThistle · 23/10/2018 21:16

I love it. Actually I like all of the dresses posted except for the one armed one but as none of these shops do tall ranges I wouldn't be able to wear one without flashing my pants. Boo.

LikeCherOnlyTiny · 23/10/2018 21:27

Get some sparkly pants IHeart

Ioki · 23/10/2018 21:30

I love it but I don't have the figure to pull it off (nor the money) and agree with a PP that it looks like something me or my friends could grab in New Look for £15 - not worth that extortionate price tag!

shakeyourcaboose · 23/10/2018 22:10

These bloody blocking rectangles! Space buns!!

Blonde87 · 23/10/2018 22:14

I love it! Would look really nice with some black strappy heels or maybe some gold wedges 😍

whyispeppainthenightgarden · 23/10/2018 22:17

I like it but not at the price- on prefer the first very one

BeautifulComicalThings · 24/10/2018 01:09

ooh I love it! I'm in my early 20s and would wear it on a night out if I could afford it!

IHeartKingThistle · 24/10/2018 01:21

I'm going to need a link to the sparkly pants @LikeCherOnlyTiny

selfidentifyinggiraffe · 24/10/2018 01:34

It's beautiful... and if you were quite rich and attending Pride, I'd say go for it!

But it's far too expensive for what will unlikely get worn on many occasions imo

LardLizard · 24/10/2018 12:29

Oh yes gold shoes, I can see them going with it
The monsoon block thugs are dreadful

fashiondevotee · 24/10/2018 20:32

Very pretty, but too pricey for Monsoon! The Warehouse one is cute and more sophisticated.

I'd wear nude pumps with it, or maybe gold sandals.

jellybean1986 · 24/10/2018 20:37

I love it!!

littlebillie · 24/10/2018 20:47

That's going to be 85% off shortly

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 24/10/2018 20:48

I like it but not at £190.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 24/10/2018 20:50

I prefer the Very one. I like sleeves

littlebillie · 24/10/2018 20:50

The warehouse one is very elegant

Frenchcroissant · 24/10/2018 21:32

OP, if you like sequins dresses have a look on eBay, there's lots there. And the dress is lovely but overpriced....
