What tights with white trainers?

I like the look of white trainers with skirts and dresses, but what tights go with them to keep warm, now that it's too cold for bare legs?
Are black opaques a no no?
And what if the skirt or dress is a lighter colour?
I wondered about cream coloured fishnet tights, or light grey cable/ soft knit.

Tights are never going to be practical wear for prostitutes, your mum must have meant stockings.

Nude fishnets are ballerina tights not prostitute tights. FFS.

In my day , black tights and white shoes were a huge faux pas
As were jeans and high heels (it was a "Poor" look)

Definitely no tights with trainers, bare legs or trousers/jeans but not tights. And eugh to fishnets, only for Halloween.

I wear black tights and black trainers. No to white trainers and black tights. Just weird. Fishnets were always prostitute tights when I was growing up, as were ankle chains. I was frequently told off for wearing an anklet. Never like the feel of fishnet tights.

My dad always disapproved of ankle chains as in his words "they're for hookers" I took great delight in wearing a variety of them as a teen 🤣🤣

I think leggings would look better than tights with trainers.

Sorry but I think that leggings would look out of date with a skirt and trainers. Saying that, you may get away with it if you are like my friend and tall and willowy. She looks great but generally not leggings.

Black tights with white trainers is a bit Minnie Mouse-ish...

I have taken against completely opaque tights, not sure why but I like to see at least a hint of skin through them, maybe it s because I don't want them to look like leggings.

I wear both black and nude fishnets to work with nice skirts and dresses - I'm a tech lead, not a prostitute 😁. I like them, they're really practical!

70isalimit I wear “secret socks” (those liner things) under the tights.

I really want to try again with prostitute Halloween tights. Are some more comfortable than others, and wash better? Are expensive (i.e more costly than 3 pairs for a £10) ones better?

Wolford fishnets in John Lewis are £29!
What's so exclusive about them for that price?

Definitely skirts and white trainers in summer only. In winter, skirts and black opaques with boots. Or at a push black trainers like Nike or New Balance. Bloody love fishnets though, and I'm definitely not a prostitute . I am nearly 50 though.

I don’t think leggings are a good look with skirts ( or anything really). I don’t think anybody fashionable has worn them outside of the gym for years.

Tights and trainers is fine if you wear them the right way.

The absolute worst is nude tights and trainers. How anyone can think this is a good look is beyond me.

Even women with relatively slim legs, look like they have the calves of the World's Strongest man.

And yes the one on the right with the fishnets and short leather skirt would be the hooker look ... not that iys wrong or y ou cant wear it or anything but when earluer posts said fishnets are hooker tights that was kind of what i was imagining! Paired with short leather/pleather skirt and trainers or heels!
