Harry & Meghan have arrived in Sydney.
The purple folders coordinating with her coat will not slow down speculation...

Is he really that tall?

susurration · 23/10/2018 20:54

Just spotted the dress kate is wearing. It's a bit 80's bridesmaid. Really don't like the shape or the material.

legolammb · 23/10/2018 20:55

Agreed susurration. I'm not too keen on the Lovers knot tiara for evening - to me pearls are more of a daytime or wedding think. I like a bit more sparkle for evening events

WipsGlitter · 23/10/2018 20:56

I wonder how they choose the jewels and tiara. I like to imagine Meghan and her mum had a fun day trying them all on!!

NoParticularPattern · 23/10/2018 20:58

Oh Kate that material. The colour is fab but that material was not the one to choose if your evening requires any sort of sitting down. The creases! And so shiny with all the lights! A bit 1980s Miss World...

itswinetime · 23/10/2018 20:58

Is there a hierarchy with tiaras? Do you get better ones the higher up you are? Maybe that's why kate always sticks to the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

susurration · 23/10/2018 20:59

Yes leggolamb, I agree. It just seems matronly and that's a word that seems to be attached to kate more and more recently. I can imagine Camilla in the lover's knot easily.

I too would love to know the process behind choosing the jewels and tiaras they wear.

bananaboats · 23/10/2018 21:00

Wow Max really doesn't do things by halves does she?! That is a tiara and a half I love it!

WipsGlitter · 23/10/2018 21:04

Why are the Queen and Camilla in white? And apparently Kate has got a royal order (ribbon and brooch).

Paradyning · 23/10/2018 21:05

I love that Max's earrings look minuscule in comparison to her tiara. But they are actually the size of gobstoppers!

Paradyning · 23/10/2018 21:06

A Dutch royal order Glitter?

peridito · 23/10/2018 21:06

I wonder if having a hairstyle to hide her scar influences choice of tiara for Kate ?

Maybe some sit differently/are more comfy ?

Paradyning · 23/10/2018 21:09

You can see the order here! Wonder what she was awarded that for. twitter.com/orderofsplendor/status/1054822128133070853?s=21

Max doesn't look impressed with Chas' chat.

itswinetime · 23/10/2018 21:10

No it's the uk royal order not sure what it means but it's all over twitter that this is the first time she's worn it

itswinetime · 23/10/2018 21:11

I'm wrong apparently it's the second time she's worn it

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/10/2018 21:11

Charles suddenly looks very elderly doesn't he?

susurration · 23/10/2018 21:13

He's 70 in three weeks!

Is there anything about what tiara Camilla and the Queen are wearing this evening. I do love a good tiara.

And does anyone know why Theresa May doesn't wear one? Is it for royalty only?

frugalkitty · 23/10/2018 21:14

I really like Max's outfit, she looks fab from top to toe. Mabel, oh dear, but her wedding dress set her stall out I think. Kate, well I love the tiara, it's my favourite alongside the Spencer tiara, but the dress I'm reserving judgement for until I see a better photo!

DontCallMeCharlotte · 23/10/2018 21:16

Kate WTF? That has Diana written all over it. And not in a good way 😞

WipsGlitter · 23/10/2018 21:19

The Queen looks very stooped.

peridito · 23/10/2018 21:19

the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a female member of the Royal family

'The Queen plans to celebrate her milestone next month – when she becomes the longest-reigning Monarch – by honouring the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate will receive the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The 33-year-old Duchess is the only senior member not to wear a family honour. A source said: ‘It is an honour reserved for first division female Royals.’ Sophie Wessex has one, as does the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne. Kate is expected to wear hers to a State dinner when the Chinese president Xi Jinping visits the UK in October.'.

Paradyning · 23/10/2018 21:20

This is the Queen's tiara

And this is Cam's (I think but can't tell properly)

DontCallMeCharlotte · 23/10/2018 21:25

A bit 1980s Miss World...

Lol!

itswinetime · 23/10/2018 21:25

Paradying they look right to me.
