Should I get a pixie hair cut?

Here's my face. Should I or not?

Hair currently is shoulder length but I'm bored of it.

I don’t think you should. You have a very pretty face but somehow I can’t see it working with a pixie. Perhaps because your face is very slender and a pixie works better with a slightly more full face

What about a graduated bob?

BlessYourCottonSocks · 08/10/2018 22:39

I think you should! I've had mine pixie cut and actually, it's the best haircut I've ever had. I've got quite a narrow face and fine features like yours and had lots of flattering comments.

I really like mine.

How about one like this?

Not a fan of graduated bobs, too 90s. Plus I'm an all or nothing person.

I don't think you should. I think it will age you.... sorry

WhatsGoingOnEh · 08/10/2018 22:53

Upload another photo, with your hair tied back into a ponytail so it's all away from your face.

I think it'd look ok, but I think it'd look even better long. Like, properly long - down to your bra strap at the back.

Ohyesiam · 08/10/2018 22:55

With those cheekbones , definitely

JMAngel1 · 08/10/2018 22:55

Gosh well if you couldn't have a pixi, god help the rest of us - you have the perfect face for a pixie as it's so fine featured and delicate. Heavy features and pixi cuts do not go.
As for ageing you, I'm not sure that's possible!

Hogtini · 08/10/2018 22:56

Go for it! This style would suit you

Can't grow it long as I'm really anaemic and it falls out. Another photo, sorry different lighting.

Do it do it!

It'll grow if you hate it!

Veterinari · 08/10/2018 23:02

Yes definitely

PickAChew · 08/10/2018 23:03

Agree with hogtini. You would totally rock a quiff, if you wanted to style it that way. As a pp mentioned, you have a slender face, so too much wispy hair around your cheeks would look out if proportion (unless you wanted a ziggy stardust look!) but short back and sides proportions with an interesting fringe would work really well.

Mincepies76 · 08/10/2018 23:03

Do it! I have just lopped all mine off, best thing I ever did Smile

YourMilkshakeIsBetterThanMine · 08/10/2018 23:04

Do it! You'd really suit it.

PickAChew · 08/10/2018 23:07

Some of these would really work on you.

bloopitybloop · 08/10/2018 23:12

Do it! You have the face for it and you will rock it!

TakeAChanseyOnMe · 08/10/2018 23:13

Have you quite fine hair? How fast does it grow?

I had a pixie cut when I was about 20. I’d always had below shoulder length hair and was envious of those people who really suited short hair. It did not suit me! It’s also MUCH more maintenance than longer hair, I’d wake up with spikey hair explosion. With longer hair you can tie it back. Took ages to grow out too due to how slow my hair grows.

I don’t regret it as otherwise I’d still think “what if...” when I see someone who really suits it.

Hogtini · 08/10/2018 23:16

Ah, my hair is thin/falls out too due to anaemia 😏
I'm not sure if it would hold a quiff but you could def have the choppy heavy fringe to add texture and volume. Or a side sweep

milly2000 · 08/10/2018 23:17

I have a really short pixie cut. I love it! I have very thin fine hair and it's really helped thicken it up. If you don't like it you can always grow it out.

pixieornot · 08/10/2018 23:19

It grows fast and I already wash it every day as I do lots of sport and it gets manky...

OP posts:
isupposeitsverynice · 08/10/2018 23:21

yes of course. it will look fab and in the unlikely event that it doesn't it'll grow back. don't buy into the judgmental nonsense about who can and can't have short hair, have your hair how you want it

TakeAChanseyOnMe · 08/10/2018 23:21

Go for it then! Hair grows. You’ll probably need a hairband or something to hold it back when doing sport.

If you’re one of the lucky people that doesn’t need to dry your hair then it’ll be even easier. My hair is straight but will stick in all directions if not blow dried.

wintersnowflake · 08/10/2018 23:22

Do it !! You only live once 😀

JaneJeffer · 08/10/2018 23:23

I think it would really suit you. Go for it!

CountFosco · 09/10/2018 05:22

Do it. I love my pixie and if you're doing sport every day it's a revelation. Quick towel dry, bit of product through it if you're feeling fancy then use your fingers to pull into shape then that's it!
