No. I really like the boots you have bought and sometimes its just the thing to wear with skirts especially and would look good with short ones. Suede can sometimes be a little heavy though [or clumpy] but i think because they look like they would give a nice neat foot they will be fine and think they will be useful. I bought the bikers because my doc marten calf boots zip burst and they were pretty wrecked so ended up tossing them out. In truth though i would probably purchase a slightly higher boot but cant really find any i like so purchased the all saints ones. They were bloody hard to prize on as you need to just wriggle your feet into them. The left foot was hard especially but i have wide feet so thats why. They have been comfy from the start [once on!]

Laska5772 · 10/10/2018 20:10

No worries Len thanks for looking .. Did you buy the green jacket ?

neveradullmoment99 · 10/10/2018 20:11

This may be why they have been reduced or on 'sale'. I dont mind though cause i think they will give as i put them on and off.

Laska5772 · 10/10/2018 20:16

zippy I wouldnt risk that Pleuroservices site for those boots ...

No dont use that website. I just couldnt find them on the brand alley site.

dontcallmelen · 10/10/2018 20:22

Laska no didn’t have my size, was such a pretty colour.

ilovecherries · 10/10/2018 20:38

I LOVE those boots, Laska, and the wrap. Um... your halo, though? ;)(I am also old, so may not be the soundest opinion on footwear).

I have listed another load of stuff on ebay. As soon as I think I'm finished, I try on something else that no longer fits. And I still have two massive Really Useful Boxes of new bras (at the size I was, I used to buy everything my size in the sale), unopened tights which I will bundle, stuff I bought from kettlewell after HoC had their hands on me etc etc.

...oh b! I had completely forgotten about Halos.. cherries Blush

Ah well, I never said I was Good... (as I often tell DH Wine)

Laska5772 · 10/10/2018 20:46

You must have as much stuff as me cherries! .. Kettlewell is v expensive stuff ive never bought any h just for that reason.. did you think HOC were any good/worth the £? Ive just lurched into what I think suits me colour-wise..

zippyswife · 10/10/2018 20:57

Thanks @laska and @never for the advice re the website. I’m desperate to get a pair but I’ll guve that website a wide birth! I’ll keep trawling eBay I think! All saints only have them in a black this year and I love the red.

ilovecherries · 10/10/2018 21:06

Tbh, I have a very small wardrobe now (literally, it’s tiny in the house in England!), but I love everything in it. In the past, it’s been a combo of senior civil service requirements, then consulting and a lot of travelling, and on top of that being plus size. You so often have to buy something because ‘it will do’ in the moment, but there is no pleasure, satisfaction or longevity in it.

Re HoC - I wasn’t impressed. It was my treat/reward for moving from obese to simply overweight last August, but I thought it was a total rip off. The consultant was awful, so that didn’t help, but I didn’t actually like any of my colours. Being dressed in pastels was so not me. And there was so much ‘popping’ of colour going on, it gave me the heebie jeebies. I was talked/cajoled/encouraged/harassed to buy some Kettlewell stuff, and it is nice quality, just boring.

Len love the vest and I really, really like that cowl neck top. looking at their size wizard online Zara is telling me I am XL Sad but they only do that top up to L . Sizes between different stores are so weird ....

Ellapaella · 10/10/2018 21:25

Len I love that Zara leopard print cami top. I was in Zara yesterday, didn't spot it or I'd have bought that.
Never those boots are beautiful.. very jealous.
Has everyone had this freakishly hot weather today? Just as I thought I was safe back in my winter wardrobe..
Got back from B'ham at teatime and have been walking the dog on the beach this evening in my star fray jeans, flip flops and a t shirt!

Ellapaella · 10/10/2018 21:26

@Laska5772 I'm a standard 10 and definitely need a medium in Zara. Was trying stuff on in there yesterday and it's not very generous sizing imo.

Ellapaella · 10/10/2018 21:27

And I think it's mostly cut for fairly flat chests so if you have reasonable norkage you'll need to size up (was with a colleague who's same size as me but with much bigger boobs and she need to go up to a large).

dontcallmelen · 10/10/2018 21:36

Weather was beautiful here in London today, was about 24deg.
Thanks everyone, bit of a departure for me, but dd was encouraging me the vest lined though, so doesn’t feel flimsy the cowl neck is a really nice weight & is finished nicely with bound edges on the arms.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/10/2018 21:36

I have been a large in zara. Their sizing really annoys me tbh.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/10/2018 21:38

It was very warm and beautiful today in Scotland. There was something so lovely about the autumn leaves on the ground and the rusty colours of the trees and the warmth. It was so calm today. Sadly, its not to last for tomorrow here.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/10/2018 21:39

Its still warm at 17 tomorrow but with scattered showers. Friday is set to be quite gusty.

Laska5772 · 10/10/2018 21:42

Ill give Zara miss i reckon then. Ella
V warm weather here also.. it was 16c this morning wheni was driving to work and I had put all the wrong stuff on .. got to work an dtook of as many layers as were still decent , I was far too hot in my boots today .. went out lunch time and some but people had shorts and sandals on again .
its cilled down bow but i am still in amies and vest ( but have just wrapped my lovely new TB wrap around shouldere.. Am feeling that perhaps I did go a bit mad buying it (v. slipped halo as cherries said) ..but s its a small independent local shop so I cant take it back (well I could of course , but wont.. Feel: a, a bit embarrassed to do so , and b, our high st needs people to shop in it - esp the independents .. Its a lovely wrap and will be a long -term keeper I know...

EachandEveryone · 10/10/2018 23:36

Ive just been to see A Star is Born at post pictures. It was brilliant but i was boiling in my jeans. Ill be glad when it gets colder.

DavetheCat2001 · 11/10/2018 08:19

Morning ladies.. placemarking the new thread ( bit late to the party!)

Weather in London has been so warm recently.. feels like summer is back.

Leopard maxi back out today.. nice to still be able to dress fairly lightly for mid October!
