Should I keep these boots?

I got these boots on the weekend but I'm undecided about keeping them. I've got lots of shoes which are fine, but not too many "nice" boots. I'm wondering if they'd go with much? I'd love to wear them with jeans or casual skirts/dresses and tights as well as with chinos, etc in work (my office is on the more casual end of smart/casual).

They were on offer, £96 down from £120

Not mad keen look clumpy for that price you could get something much nicer

Jitters22 · 04/10/2018 20:30

I really like them but then they are my style. The sort of thing I would buy myself.

I like chunky heels and a slight platform. These don't have a platform as such but they have a think chunky rubber sole that acts in much the same way. I've got lots of versions of this kind of boot in various makes and styles.

I hate thin heels, pointy toes etc. so these are right up my street, but I'm sure there will be others who don't like them.

They will go with plenty - jeans, leggings etc. and certainly skirts / dresses with opaque tights for winter.

If you like them, more importantly if they are comfortable, and if you can afford them, then keep them.

They look a bit Jodie Marsh to me 🙃

I like them. Looking for something similar but not so high. Struggling a bit...

User5trillion · 04/10/2018 21:27

Love them! 😍

Hellywelly10 · 04/10/2018 21:29

Depends do they go with lots of stuff you already own?

Bluntness100 · 04/10/2018 21:29

I love those, fantastic colour too, I'm tempted to buy them!

This with bells on

They’re the shoe equivalent of a soft top 4 x 4

Awful

Tahani · 04/10/2018 21:33

not keen, and they dont look like they cost that much... a bit cheap looking

EdWinchester · 04/10/2018 21:33

Eek.

Really hideous.

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/10/2018 21:34

I'm not keen, I'd send them back.

Nettletheelf · 04/10/2018 21:34

I was thinking ‘JLo circa 2002’ but Jodie Marsh is even more apposite.

ShirleyPhallus · 04/10/2018 21:38

They just need a little fur trim and they’d be the perfect “apple bottom jeans and boots with the fuuuuurrrrrr WITH THE FUUURRRRR” boots

foodiefil · 04/10/2018 21:55

Snort! 😂 @ShirleyPhallus

This thread is too extremes tho some love some hate 😟

Mokepon · 04/10/2018 21:58

I don't mind them but nah. They are not unique or gorgeous enough.
Send them back, you can do better.

SinglePringle · 04/10/2018 22:04

They bring to mind Kerry Katona circa 1999.

You may think this a wonderful look but it’s not one I wish to invoke.

rosettesforjill · 04/10/2018 22:05

Oh god I have these boots in black (bought last year) and wear them all autumn/winter - feeling very unstylish now! Grin

I wear them with skinny jeans, dresses, skirts, all sorts. They're really comfortable, in my defence Wink

ArrivisteRevolt · 04/10/2018 22:06

No

Knittedfairies · 04/10/2018 22:08

No.

oooompa · 04/10/2018 22:10

rosettes in defence of your boots, they're much nicer in black Grin

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 04/10/2018 22:14

No, I don't get them. A classic pair of Timberlands yes, good sturdy weatherproof boots, but with a high heel absolutely not.
I agree that they look cheap, as well.

Jitters22 · 05/10/2018 10:58

OP - clearly from the responses it's a matter of taste.

Some of us love them and some of us hate them. It's whether you like them or not that matters.

If your concern is versatility, then they will pretty much go with anything as these photos show ...
