Help!! Slipping High Heels: Tit tape? Anything else?

31 replies

BigHoofs · 03/10/2018 12:16

I have a pair of heels that are perfect except they slip slightly at the back.

I have put heel grips in and a half insole but they are still slipping.

I'd read somewhere that celebs sometimes use tit tape/toupee tape to stop shoes slipping off at the back esp if they have to do stairs at an award ceremony.

Does this work? Anyone tried it?

Does it work with tights or do you just end up with a gloopy mess or tights that have ripped?

*Any other suggestions?)

@BigHoofs

Honestly works for me. Never tried anything so good.

@BigHoofs.

Yes they do. I had an issue with one that lost stickiness. Contacted the company with feedback and I had a brand new free pair the next day.

I honestly tried every different type of heel grip known to man. Toe stuff things, plasters, etc.

These are the only things that worked and the only thing I have ever recommended on this forum.

Well I will give those a try too!

I will report back.

@namechange4000

Take the heel grips off, cut them in half and stick them back down along each side of the heel. The extra 1.5mm on each side is then enough to grip your slim ankle.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TIP.

So so simple but not anything I'd have ever thought of or come across. This is total genius.

Sorry - I meant to say by way of update that a suede heel grip cut in half and placed in the shoe to the side of the heel solved my problem unbelievably well.
