Your clothes on the TV

I was watching Wanderlust the other night and got distracted because one of the characters was wearing the same Zara blouse that I was wearing to work on that day (I also have it on my staff ID pass!). The last time that happened was when I had the same Fat Face hoodie that Hermione wears in the film version of Prisoner of Azkaban...

Has anyone else ever spotted famous people wearing something that they own and felt, just for a moment, like your taste has been vindicated??

I once saw a rather sad middle aged sex worker on Silent Witness wearing one of my favourite tops.... it didn’t look very glamorous.

I saw a dowdy Corrie character wearing my FM's blouse.

Other end of the spectrum, Eddie was wearing something (very expensive) of mine in the Ab Fab movie. Haven't worn it since!

ToftheB oh dear, that's unfortunate! You just made me remember that I once saw Little Mo out of Eastenders wearing a jumper that I had, and that put me off ever wearing it again. It made me feel downtrodden and sad just looking at it.

I have a lovely dress from Monsoon and I saw it on a character in midsomer murders

I have a J Crew waxed field jacket. Amy from Brooklyn 99 was wearing it. Her colleagues think she dresses badly. I still love the jacket....

Mine always seem to be on soaps.

I once saw Jacquie McQueen in Hollyoaks wearing a dress that I wore to be a bridesmaid (I didn't choose the dress - the bride did). I decided not to tell the bride.

Sophie Webster (I think) used to wear my once favourite black Zara biker jacket. And my DS is roughly the same age as baby Harry on Corrie so Sarah Platt had a lot of the same maternity clothes as me.

Now I quite often see Leanne Battersby in my clothes, which I always feel a bit sad about. Not that she looks bad or anything, just I think I'd rather think of myself as someone a bit more glamorous!!

Tracey Barlow and I have shared a few tops, Carmel wears a ted baker t shirt I had to ditch , Sionaid had a zara top. All high street. I’m aiming for Emilia Fox now - her wardrobe was much better . I used to love the clothes in Mistresses and quite keen on the workwear in that old detective show with Lesley sharpe and Suranne jones in.( except I’m not working at the moment so it’s a bit overdressed for ironing! )

When I was in my late 20s, Pauline Fowler on EastEnders had the same M&S lilac shirt as me. Straight in the charity bag. I like to think I'm less frumptastic now at 41.

I saw Sally Webster from Corrie in my coat, it looked great on the model but pretty shit on both of us (think horse blanket)

I had the Topshop dress that one of the doctor's assistants wore in Dr Who. Apparently it is much sought after for cosplay (or something) so it sold on eBay for about 3 times what I paid for it.

Hayley from Coronation Street had my lovely floral blouse.....I gave it to charity .

Never seen anyone wearing my wardrobe but I LOVE Toni Collette's wardrobe in Wanderlust and Emilia Fox's in SW.

Clara from Doctor Who once wore my Miss Patina dress. I did love her style so felt quite smug! Shame they forgot to write her any character for half the series.

When the dc were very small -4 and 1 ish - I tore out of the toilet, mid wee, in redponse to a scream “Muuuuummmmyyyu, come here quickly..,,,,,”.

Me: “What is it my precious cherubs?” I gasped whilst hoping cross legged.
DS: Your scarf is on “Ooglies”.

For those not in the know, Ooglies is like an animated version of those birthday cards featuring vegetables with googly eyes and bad puns. I wasn’t quite as excited as the DC.

BikeRunSki Ooglies was absolute perfection, we watched all the episodes over and over (sometimes without DCs ). I'd be proud if a scarf of mine was featured.

Mary Berry wore my floral Zara scarf some seasons ago on bake off. I still have it.

Beyoncé has the same dress as me, I bought it first!
