Your clothes on the TV

I was watching Wanderlust the other night and got distracted because one of the characters was wearing the same Zara blouse that I was wearing to work on that day (I also have it on my staff ID pass!). The last time that happened was when I had the same Fat Face hoodie that Hermione wears in the film version of Prisoner of Azkaban...

Has anyone else ever spotted famous people wearing something that they own and felt, just for a moment, like your taste has been vindicated??

Kat from eastenders had the same warehouse top as me once - many many years ago. It got demoted to a diy/decorating top thereafter.

Tina Carter in East Enders and my 13yo DD have similar taste in clothes. Hmm It's mostly from H&M

I once had the same grey and white striped Joules tunic dress as a bored and stressed Mum in some advert. It made me give the dress to the charity shop Grin

Years and years ago, when i was about 10, me and my Mum had matching pink/white patchwork dressing gowns with Madge from Neighbours Confused Rather than be mortified, I was always rather proud I had the same taste as a "celebrity" 😂😂😂😂

almondio yes, I lile Toni Collette's look too - sadly the blouse wasn't on her but on her whiny daughter, and she was wearing it tucked into a horrible pair of maroon trousers. I was still quite excited though Grin

I always see Tracy Barlow wearing the same tops as me and I'm never sure how I feel about it.

Maria in Corrie wore the same topshop dress as me once, was fairly pleased with that 😆

I haven’t watched Corrie in years, but I used to see it sometimes about ten years ago. A character called Carla had loads of my clothes. She, too, was keen on Karen Millen.

This happens to me ALL the time, just this week some woman in emmerdale had the same bright green shirt on that was wearing. I also frequently see the same wallpaper I choose suddenly appear on tv, usually in the soaps

This shows my age but Gabby Roslin used to regularly wear a Jigsaw jacket of mine on the Big Breakfast and Mel Geidroyc used to wear several of my tops on Light Lunch. Both programmes sadly missed (and not just because of the excellent taste of the wardrobe depts).

I too had the same shirt as Mo on eastenders, it's a weird feeling.
I used to love the ooglies, I used spend most of the time looking for the Ikea stuff. Grin

I have a very cosy plum dressing gown from M&S that is used by the female cast in coronation street. It was worn by Carla when in hospital, I've seen Rana wear it and also Michelle Connor. I have a dress from Oasis that I've seen Eva wear too. Many years ago I saw an Eastenders barmaid wear a dress of mine. Love spotting clothes or other props I have on tv!

I love this thread. Tina in Corro used to wear a dark red New Look top with faux leather trims on the sleeves that my mum had. I've never spotted my clothes on tele though. I think I need to go shopping more.

Though, I do have a knack for knowing where soap characters' clothes are from. Emma in Corro had a lovely pineapple nightie on recently and I knew it was from M&S...it's gone in the sale btw.
