Will do!

Ellapaella · 29/09/2018 17:16

Actually my new jacket looks a lot like a sheepy wool coat my mum had back in the 70's. She used to wear it with knee high brown leather boots with a chunky heel.

It’s nice, Laska, but tbh I think you could get something better for 100 quid. I scratched the itch for it by trying it on in JL and decided that the star just wasn’t in the right position on my boobs. The arms of the stars were sort of grabbing onto them, and I think you might be having the same issue. When I went up a size to a L to move the star position slightly lower, it then didn’t look right anywhere else.

afrikat · 29/09/2018 17:18

Ellapaella I love that jumper- could you link to it please I'm struggling to find on website?

ilovecherries · 29/09/2018 17:26

Oops, sorry, that all sounded really rude about your chest!

Ellapaella · 29/09/2018 17:28

@afrikat it's this one https://www.warehouse.co.uk/gb/clothing/jumpers-and-cardigans/basket-stitch-jumper/031739.html?dwvar0317399color=72&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5ObsytDg3QIVSrTtCh1xBQunEAQYASABEgJApPDBwE
The autumn rusty brown colour is lovely too

Not at all, Cherries friendly honest appraisal is why its so good here , .. DH really liked it , ( but maybe its because it does make me look more 'booby' Grin.) I do like it a lot , but I am trying to be mindful of the 'fashion factor' of animal print right now , the amount of stuff I already have, my changed lifestyle and and what I may wear it with , oh and my bank account!

I could get another Joules lily jumper in navy and the Fat Face long boucle cardi in navy for the price..and reckon I'd wear them more.. Hmm must bear that in mind , but then they are probably the more 'boring/sensible choice though and I dont want to be boring/sensible

but will decide when the skirt comes..

ella love a grey jumper! and grey tops / jeans boots etc etc .

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 29/09/2018 18:03

Love your jumper Ella - unfortunately I can’t wear grey. My DM once told me in a big panicked rush in the middle of a shop “porpoise, I have to tell you, I’m really sorry I should have said ages ago but you don’t suit grey” as I was about to buy a grey top. She handed me the navy instead. She was right. I do love the rust coloured jumper though...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/09/2018 18:07

Managed to get a Hush khaki military jacket in a charity shop today, for just £6.99. Hoping I will get as much wear of it as I have from my camo Kafka jacket that I bought last year.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/09/2018 18:10

Dave - LOVE the leopard maxi: looks amazing.

whiskyremorse · 29/09/2018 18:16

Laska love those trainers, if I didn't already have the Hush black trainers with white stars, I'd be all over them!
I tried on the coated jeans in JL and I had to go up to a 12 (first time I've ever had to size up in Hush) as they didn't have the 10s to try, but the 12s fit nicely. Will wear them around the house with the label in to make sure they don't go loose. Really like them!

Laska5772 · 29/09/2018 18:17

Cherries did you try the red or the navy in the animal star jumper?

Remus* What a fantastic find!! Envy.. I'm sure you will and hey , at that price...

ilovecherries · 29/09/2018 18:35

I tried both. Blush. I did think the red was bigger made though. I decided really on that mustard cashmere instead. Even at £50 more it felt a better buy.

DavetheCat2001 · 29/09/2018 18:41

ella love the jumper and coat on you.

Where are your black jeans from with the warehouse jumper? They look like coated ones? Really nice.

Love the jumper on you Laska, particularly with the black pleated skirt.

Thanks for the nice comment Remus

Having a bad MH day today, anxiety is through the roof and I feel like crying.

Missbobbins · 29/09/2018 18:53

@DavetheCat2001 🤗🌻

neveradullmoment99 · 29/09/2018 19:04

Oh Dave {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}
I suffer from anxiety frequently and I have something on this week at work which is making me feel worse and have been losing sleep over it. I hope you feel better soon Flowers as its rubbish.

DavetheCat2001 · 29/09/2018 19:18

Thanks guys xx

I went to the GP this morning as have to go back every so often for them to check I'm not suicidal and to get my repeat prescription renewed.

I have never been suicidal but i guess they have to check.

I told her how bad I was feeling today and whilst she was sympathetic, there's not much they can say really. I've tried it all..counselling, talking-therapies, CBT..none of it's really worked. AD's are probably the only thing that keep me on an even keel.

I haven't felt this horrible for ages, not sure why..nothing's happened and everything is more or less ok..just got this big knot of dread and panic in my chest.

Meh.

dontcallmelen · 29/09/2018 19:24

@DavetheCat, so sorry to hear you are suffering I think you are right sometimes Ad’s are the only thing that can help keep you on a even keel, just try & keep saying to yourself this will ease & the feelings will subside bloody awful though when you are in throes of it, you have all my sympathy ((( hugs))) 💐
never also sorry to hear you are suffering as well, it’s so horrible.

Ellapaella · 29/09/2018 19:33

@DavetheCat2001 Flowers anxiety is awful, sorry you are feeling so down today. That's the worst feeling when you feel you can't control your thoughts 😢
Re. The black leggings yes they are coated ones, couple of years old now. I like them but they annoy me a bit as I tend to have to keep hoying them back up as they're a bit loose on the waist.

I was on anti depressants a few years ago now but came off them as i felt i was better but things still bubble up and anxiety has been with me since i had my first children - when i was in my early twenties. I never knew it was a thing, just always worried about everything and anything and sometimes i felt like you Dave, when i had no good reason to feel that way. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. xx

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 29/09/2018 19:45

That’s really sucks Dave. Anxiety is a bitch and mine gets worse the older I get. Latest is cars - I have always been a bad passenger but I’m now becoming horrendously anxious as a driver and had a full blown panic attack on holiday on a long journey as a passenger. The joys.

I know it’s trite but I do find that fresh air, grounding myself to the earth (walking barefoot outside, you might need a beach or hardened feet), being in elemental nature (mountains or sea) really help.

DavetheCat2001 · 29/09/2018 19:54

Thanks all. sorry to hear you suffer too never.

It doesn't help that my OH has no concept of how bad I feel. He gets grumpy with me and thinks I should pull myself together. Oh if only.

I took my DD out to the park earlier as its been a lovely sunny day here and I think the walk/fresh air was a good thing.

I'm on the red wine now which probably usn't the most sensible route to take but feel like I need a treat.

I'm perpetually tired too. Meant to mention that to the GP this morning but in my brain fug, totally forgot!

Ellapaella · 29/09/2018 20:06

Dave I've had CBT for anxiety in the past. I hit a real low point after losing a childhood friend to cancer when they were only in their late 20's. At the time my eldest DC was only little, I started to worry so much about cancer, dying and the utter sadness of it all, life just felt so pointless. I worried constantly about what would happen if I wasn't here anymore to look after him (my son). I felt I was having a constant stream of conversation in my head telling me to worry about everything, it was relentless and so tiring so I totally understand how you are feeling today.
I'm much better now but I do find hormone fluctuations can really trigger an anxiety episode so I find taking vitamin b complex and starflower oil very helpful in regulating them. It seems to have helped. Maybe worth a try?
Look after yourself and enjoy your wine if that's what you need tonight xx Thanks

Dave good you got out, raises the serotonin levels which always helps. Maybe go back to the GP & mention the tiredness could be all manner of reasons not always linked to anxiety, possibly anemia/b12/vitamin D or even thyroid worth getting checked.
