If you’re a regular on the Style & Beauty board, you’re probably familiar with Fitflop: purveyor of comfy sandals that you can walk for miles in, and favourite footwear brand of Mumsnetters with tricky feet. For those of you not in the know, Fitflops are shoes with a specially-engineered sole for optimum comfort and support, and they’re available in all sorts of colours and styles.

"I'm a massive fan of Fitflops. I live in them during the summer and walk miles daily with no blisters or discomfort."

"I've almost worn out my 3rd pair, these have lasted over 18 months, daily wear indoor and out!"

"My feet really ache in most shoes, but these ones are brilliant. They look smart, not showing massive wear (yet) and worth the money."

But Fitflops aren’t just for summer, you can navigate pavement puddles and frosty mornings in their closed toe styles, and we want to know about your favourite pair.

Whether you’ve already got a pair of trainers that you swear by, or you’ve got your eye on something new, take a look at Fitflop’s closed toe shoes, post a link to your favourite pair, and tell us why you like them.

We will choose 10 winners next Tuesday (11 September) and each of them will receive a free pair of Fitflops of their choice.

This thread isn’t sponsored by Fitflop, but we might use it to give us a steer on future content.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

Love these

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-view-all-uk/uberknit-mary-janes-with-metallic-weave-p-L28-551

So comfy and versatile

katseyes7 · 03/09/2018 16:31

l've got five pairs of Fitflops. l got my first pair almost 20 years ago after l broke my ankle. They were suede 'clog' types as l couldn't wear anything with a back, and l still have them! l've got two pairs of Mukluk boots, one about eight years old, the other l got last year. A pair of black sequin toe post sandals, and a pair of strappy sandals. l wear one of them at least once a day, especially if l'm going out shopping or for a day trip. They're like slippers to wear, so comfortable, but very supportive. l got a new hip two years ago, and the nurses at the hospital commented how supportive they were. l couldn't do without them!

PetraDelphiki · 03/09/2018 16:36

These I think

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/ellie-mary-jane-pearl-stud-ellie-mary-janes-p-M63-001

Not too clumpy (I take a 7.5)...

IceRebel · 03/09/2018 16:41

Like other posters I had no idea FitFlops had so many different styles of shoes. I bought a pair of boots from them about 4 years ago and they're one of the comfiest shoes I own.

I would love something as equally comfy but more casual and these fit the bill perfectly

cuddlymunchkin · 03/09/2018 16:42

I would go for these: www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/serene-deco-patent-mules-p-041-617
I love the colour- they would look fantastic both with jeans just during the day and also with a more night time glitz look - they could dress up or down. They'd look great peeping out from under a pair of black velvet trousers - the contrast in colour and texture - fabulous!

katseyes7 · 03/09/2018 16:46

Ooh, l forgot the link. l'd go for these, they're similar to the ones l have (and wear almost every day!). So comfy and good for your feet and posture!

I love the F-Sporty leather sneaker boots with Shearling here www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/sale-all-uk/f-sporty-leather-sneakerboots-with-shearling-p-I74-398 But sadly they don’t have my size anymore!

FogCutter · 03/09/2018 16:47

I have recently been diagnosed with arthritis in my mid 40s (problems mainly with feet and hands) and was despairing of trying to find some lovely autumnal trainers or boots then I saw these little beauties!

Hopefully they would be comfortable and supportive enough for me to keep walking the school run, they are certainly stylish enough!

WeeMadArthur · 03/09/2018 16:49

Forgot to say why I liked them, the colour is just gorgeous and the shearling is essential for warm toes in the winter. They are the ideal boot for wandering around a Christmas Market!

These just look so comfy & would add a bit of sparkle to everyday life. Best of all....PURPLE...!!!! Grin

slug · 03/09/2018 16:59

I bought a pair of sandals in the sale last year. They didn't last very long admittedly but oh dear god they are comfortable.

For winter I am looking at these www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/f-sporty-ii-zip-leather-sneakers-p-Q09-001

andantecantabile · 03/09/2018 17:00

I pretty much live in flip flops over the warmer months as the tan lines on my feet will attest to! I would love to try a pair of these out as I've tried to up my exercise before my first wedding dress fitting in October!

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/serene-deco-patent-mules-p-O41-617
These are fabulous, will take you straight into the Indian summer we've been promised and I think even be special enough for Christmas! I can see them with jeans and a top it with an animal print skirt.
Apart from how pretty they are, if they are anything like my they pairs of fit flops they will be ridiculously comfortable and give me a work out while I'm wearing them!

clairedunphy · 03/09/2018 17:08

There are loads that I like, these are great...
www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/gianna-lace-up-booty-p-N61-001
Look very comfy but also lots of great detail and versatile too.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 03/09/2018 17:16

I don't really like sandals (not so great feet) but I love these: www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/cova-leather-sandals-p-N43-615

They are very light and comfy. I have a knacky knee and back problems, so I generally can't wear saldals or shoes that aren't rigid or don't hold the foot. I have a pair of fitflops like these and have worn them to death over the past few months.

When working I walk to and from work (as much as I can really - about 4 miles each way) and these are smart enough for the office, and on holiday we were walking around 15-20 miles a day.

I wasn't sure if fitflops were up to the battering I usually give my shoes but they still look pretty good. I was still bouncing by the end of the day.

I should have started buying three years ago!

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/alexa-classic-snake-print-chelsea-boots-p-M59-001
Oooh yes, these would be worn to death. They are so funky, but look comfy too. A win win for winter Wink

babster · 03/09/2018 17:28

I've never worn Fitflops before but I'm looking for something with a bit of bounce and support as I'm finding sneakers too thin-soled. Love this berry colour for autumn - gorgeous! www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/f-sporty-ii-lace-up-leather-sneakers-p-L82-620

SandWitch · 03/09/2018 17:36

So, am I the only person who thought Fitflops were sandal type shoes that you wore to work the leg muscles more as you walk?
Is that what they were in the beginning?

Had a look at the website and I'm astounded at the number and type of shoes available.
Really like these www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/paige-patent-loafers-p-O27-620 , but I have a secret crush on Uma Thurman, so could be blinded by that!

AsAProfessionalFekko · 03/09/2018 17:38

I think they were originally - to make to rock on your feet like the bushmen of the kalamari or something like that!

CurcubitaPepo · 03/09/2018 17:38

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-collections-uma-thurman-uk/f-sporty-mirror-toe-leather-lace-up-sneakers-p-I73-137

Love these, great for autumn. Flitflops are the only flip flop I can wear.

itsallgravybaby · 03/09/2018 17:45

I love these - as someone who doesn't like heels due to being tall, wearing casual clothes 80% of the time and needing a supportive shoe, these look like they'd match my style perfectly.

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-view-all-uk/f-sporty-uberknit-crystal-sneakers-p-M25-001

Love my fit flops (still have the original pair from when they launched all that time ago - must say, the styles and options are much better now!!)

FelixTitling · 03/09/2018 17:47

I long for a pair of Derby in Berry

I can't wear flip flops because of dodgy big toes. I have been told that Fit Flops would be perfect for my foot problems but can't quite afford them. Keeping my eye on the sales.

HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone · 03/09/2018 17:48

As a not too trendy fashionable human I live in Fitflop sandals and dread putting on trainers once Autumn arrives. Somehow living in my bubble I didn't realise the do sneakers as well as sandals Shock.

These look so warm and comfy, maybe this Autumn with these in my life I wont dread the switch to trainers so much...

Like a cross between my slippers and shoes! Must give these a go sometime.

CarlGrimesMissingEye · 03/09/2018 17:56

Ive had a pair of fitflop winter boots before now which were quite frankly the most comfortable things ever on my feet which with dodgy feet joints was essential.

These trainers look ideal for me. Red (my favourite), slip on (speedy), and they look soooo comfy: www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/uberknit-slip-on-ghillie-sneakers-p-L26-640
