If you’re a regular on the Style & Beauty board, you’re probably familiar with Fitflop: purveyor of comfy sandals that you can walk for miles in, and favourite footwear brand of Mumsnetters with tricky feet. For those of you not in the know, Fitflops are shoes with a specially-engineered sole for optimum comfort and support, and they’re available in all sorts of colours and styles.

"I'm a massive fan of Fitflops. I live in them during the summer and walk miles daily with no blisters or discomfort."

"I've almost worn out my 3rd pair, these have lasted over 18 months, daily wear indoor and out!"

"My feet really ache in most shoes, but these ones are brilliant. They look smart, not showing massive wear (yet) and worth the money."

But Fitflops aren’t just for summer, you can navigate pavement puddles and frosty mornings in their closed toe styles, and we want to know about your favourite pair.

Whether you’ve already got a pair of trainers that you swear by, or you’ve got your eye on something new, take a look at Fitflop’s closed toe shoes, post a link to your favourite pair, and tell us why you like them.

We will choose 10 winners next Tuesday (11 September) and each of them will receive a free pair of Fitflops of their choice.

This thread isn’t sponsored by Fitflop, but we might use it to give us a steer on future content.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

Look comfy for walking, colours go with anything and look more exciting than your average sneaker.

Adore these, can't beat sparkles 😊

I live in my fitflop sandals in summer but haven't got any closed for versions yet.
These look so comfy and would be an amazing addition to my teacher wardrobe! Running around after teenagers all day means my poor feet are often throbbing by the time I get home

I love the F Sporty II in berry or dark navy.
They have a bit of a 1950s bowling shoe feel to them - which I love - and they look like they'd work brilliantly with jeans or chinos for autumn weather before the boots have ot come out.

Moocherbot · 08/09/2018 00:01

I wanted to love the high boots but actually they looked a bit weird and porny in the pictures. I do like a nice pair of trainers tho so these are perfect; www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/f-sporty-uberknit-lace-up-sneakers-p-L40-613

I love fitflops. I live in mine in the summer so would love to have something just as comfortable for winter.

I think these are funky, stylish and really versatile:

www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-view-all-uk/skatebootie-leather-boots-p-K10-098 Really like the look of these. I have size 9 feet and currently suffering from plantar facsiitis so I have difficulty finding shoes that fit and are fashionable. These look like they might fit the brief.

SouthWestmom · 08/09/2018 07:10

I didn't know they did anything other than sandals but my mum raves on about them all the time so I took a look.

Love these: I wear metallic trainers or pumps all the time and these are just the right 'shine' and fit. I don't like too clumpy or too delicate (like a 'that's not my ...' book!)

I think these are very smart and I love the colour!

MakeTeaNotWar · 08/09/2018 08:09

I've never worn fitflops but as I have constant pain in my right heel, I would like to to try them. I really like the look of these www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/paige-leather-loafers-p-O24-001

Bellabluetwo · 08/09/2018 08:13

I have never tried fitflops before, I thought they looked very comfortable but always thought they were more my mum's style. I didn't realise that they did boots and different styles of shoes.

I am on a constant search for the perfect Chelsea boot and have never found one that is comfortable enough. These look like they could be a contender.

I've just found these - suitable for work and pretty too. Amazing that you stock sizes up to 9, very few places do that. And a sale too...off to look more closely!

MinecraftHolmes · 08/09/2018 08:21

I had no idea fitflops did other styles! I love these Uberknits in the new range - they look ideal for the school run and chasing after the kids at the weekends. I’m very tempted in some smarter ones for my school placements too.

HumptyNumptyNooNoo · 08/09/2018 08:27

I bought two pairs of fitflops when they first came out, and I found that I developed pain just above my knee joint after wearing them. So they soon started to gather dust at the back of my wardrobe. I'd be interested to know if that was a blip/fault with early models and if that has been adjusted ? So a free pair might encourage me to buy more if I don't get the pain anymore with newer versions. Posting to give them a second chance as the concept seems a good one. Smile!

AsAProfessionalFekko · 08/09/2018 08:30

We're the flip flops or slipper type of shoes?

I've found that ballet pumps and shoes that don't hold my feet give me ankle/knee/back pain but my fit flops which are more 'enclosed' are brilliant.

BloodyBosch · 08/09/2018 08:53

I live in flip flops for as much of the year as I can. I have several different types, the benefits of fit flops for me are -
Supportive & comfortable sole
Thick enough sole that you can walk on uneven or gravel surfaces without discomfort
Can walk miles / where them all day comfortably
They've made shoes with the same sole so you can where them to work - I am on my feet all day very often, and love the ballet pump style.
My only disappointment is that my ballet pumps are 'peeling' around the sides of the sole and I can't afford to buy them regularly if this will happen every time.
Saving the pennies for the right pair to come up in the sale! 😍 fit flops

HumptyNumptyNooNoo · 08/09/2018 09:14

My two early ones were toe post type - one pair with gold sparkly triangle and one pair with brown straps.

HammerHeadShark · 08/09/2018 09:24

I walk about 10-15000 between wards and departments in the hospital where I work. Always on a quest for the most comfortable shoes - I think these could be them!

Love the design and sparkle of these soft knit trainers www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-view-all-uk/f-sporty-uberknit-crystal-sneakers-p-M25-564
They would look great with jeans or chinos and also with a flowing skirt and with cushioned comfort too they are ideal!

Sagelistener · 08/09/2018 10:25

Never heard of Fitflops before but definitely liking the sound of them. I saw loads that I liked, but my favourite today are the F-SPORTY II
Lace-Up Leather Sneakers. They are fresh! Loving the sleek style that looks comfortable.

I have been looking everywhere for decent looking work shoes that you can actually walk and now I have found them! These would be perfect for me. www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-black-collection/sneakerloafer-leather-shoes-p-C94-090

I love the uberknits www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/womens-new-arrivals-view-all-uk/uberknit-slip-on-ghillie-sneakers-p-L26-443
Although I'm not sure they will ever be worn quite as much as my toe-post sandles. My only complaint is that I can't always buy a new pair the same when my favourites start to wear out (having been worn pretty much constantly all summer). I'd like to see them bring back some of the older styles.
