Best soap for showers?

This is really embarrassing, but I have noticed today that my armpits smell sweaty. I have had a shower about 90 mins ago, but they smell a bit already. I haven't even been doing anything - I literally put my deodorant on and a clean top then sat down to work on my computer.

I shower using pears bar soap and give my pits a good lather with the soap. The smell is definitely my skin and not my (clean, freshly washed) top.

Can anyone advise of perhaps a better one to use? I'm so worried that I will smell to other people.

I've had tops before that only smell when I put them on - I think the warmth of the body releases the smell. And no matter how many times I washed the top it wouldn't stop smelling. Normally, the worst culprits are clothes which have synthetic materials in them. Cotton tops are fine.

I bought soaps from here for Christmas. The Oat and Hemp and Goat's Milk one. They have a 3 for £10 offer so I included a beard balm (which is £5 on its own). Lovely smelling soaps. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/483618152/hemp-oat-soap-bar-vegan

I bought Pears soap recently and discovered it doesn’t wash sweat off! Shite soap. I still had a bar of lemon soap and that did the trick. Not buying Pears again.

Dammit I love Pears. The blue one might be alright.

Friendly Soap is ethical and doesn't use palm oil. The aloe vera one is good if you have sensitive skin, or the travel soap smells like Pears if you're fond of that rosemary-ish smell. You can get it from their website, or Amazon or Ethical Superstore. I haven't noticed any smelly armpit issues since I've been using it!

Oh Lord, I hate being sucked into zombie threads....

Nesti Dante - lovely and last for ages. Cheapest from Amazon or TKMaxx.

Magnetic soap holders are great. You stick the holder on a wall or tile and then a magnet, the size of a bottle cap into the soap. It dries between uses - no gloop.

I've thrown clothes away before because of that ingrained armpit smell which 'activates ' with body heat, so frustrating! A good tip I use is to gently exfoliate your under arms every 2 or 3 days, I find I sometimes get a build up of deodorant which needs a bit of a scrub occasionally to fully get my pits clean!

Cidal fan here for this sweaty betty Grin

It could be the underarms of the top. I ended up throwing some away as no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of the pong. I thought it was me at first too.
They were t-shirts with a bit of lycra in

If you mix vinegar and washing up liquid and slosh it on to underarms of tops, leave to soak in and then wash at highest temp you can for the fabric, you may be able to rescue them.

I buy lovely soaps from national trust sites or quaint village shops. The bars are always so big though, I have to cut them in half. There's nothing special to them I don't think, but I like the variety of scents that our big sainsbury's etc., just don't have. I showered last night, didn't put on deodorant or antiperspirant. Still smell fresh.

I love the Lux Rose Essence one. Snelks beautiful and very clean. It's about 50p in Morrisons.
