Dress for a wedding!

Been invited to a wedding of a work colleague of my relatively new dp, evening invite for the both of us. Will be the first time meeting any of his friends/work pals.

Extra level of wanting to impress is that myself and my dp work for the same company, but in different areas. So there will be some important work people at this wedding as well.

I need a dress that looks nice, i want his friends to be impressed by his hot new girlfriend, but also want to make a good work impression, so still professional-ish?

Im size 8, slightly pear shaped but can balance it to am hourglass with a padded bra, 5'4" with pale skin and long dark hair.

What do you think of the dresses attached, or any other suggestions??

Dress is lovely OP you look great. I'd go with leopard print shoes as very in style for AW or go with plain black shoes and a leopard print or another statement clutch?

DiamondsInTheMud · 24/08/2018 12:56

Would leopard shoes and clutch be overkill?

Sounds lovely!

GoatWoman · 24/08/2018 13:31

Leopard shoes would be ace!

Shambu · 24/08/2018 14:50

Definitely not leopard shoes

I like the dress but many people anti-black weddings.

DiamondsInTheMud · 24/08/2018 14:58

Dress isnt black, its dark blue/not as dark as navy. Photo makes it look darker than it is.

That's fine then, just don't wear leopard shoes.

Amaried · 24/08/2018 15:19

Think dress1 looks a bit cheap,, no 3 is classier by far

No to leopard skin shoes..

Foggymist · 24/08/2018 15:21

Oh don't wear leopard if it's blue or navy! Maybe gold, or green, or red or deep pink? Again, Irish though!

Shambu · 24/08/2018 15:28

Yes I think metallic works well with navy - gold, bronze etc, dark pink would also look nice as it's summer.

n0ne · 24/08/2018 15:54

I think 3 is perfect - sexy but classy, and will look fantastic with pale skin/dark hair.

I've had a rumage through my shoes and found these silver ones, are they better?

Those look good, them with a bright clutch or the leopard one would be great.
