I don't think you can be too old for anything that comes from Boden unless you're buying from the kids section. Their target market is over 35s.

bibbidybobbidyboo · 20/08/2018 15:20

I like it! I think if you wear it in the same kind of way that they've styled it here (jeans, trainers or pointed flats, white t-shirt) you'll look fab.

Floisme · 20/08/2018 15:24

I have no idea what's young about it.

Not a scoobie.

Jupiter9 · 20/08/2018 20:02

I think you can..46 is young..🌷

ShopoholicIn · 20/08/2018 20:02

Like it

butlerswharf · 20/08/2018 20:12

I agree with "

butlerswharf · 20/08/2018 20:13

Oops I agree with @Childrenofthesun. I don't think you can really be too old for Boden stuff as I thought it catered to the safe middle aged market.

MrsMariaPolouvicka · 20/08/2018 20:14

FFS these threads are so depressing. Too old for trainers, dungarees, sweatshirts, hoodies, the list is endless. Posters of these threads, genuine question, where do you live and who do you see on a daily basis to deem any of the above items OF CLOTHING not applicable to your life?

For the record, I'm also 46 and I'm too young for anything from Boden.

EnidButton · 20/08/2018 20:23

Agree with MrsM. I didn't know this was a thing until I saw the threads on S&B. I mean, I suppose I kind of did because most women, in the area I'm from, seemed to hit 45, get a perm and start wearing elasticated trousers, no matter what their personal tastes and style were before then. Depressing.

Anyway. It's a very nice jacket. It has a 90's vibe to it with the stripe, I like that. It's absolutely age neutral. If you like it, buy yourself it and enjoy wearing it.

EnidButton · 20/08/2018 20:23

(I don't live in that area anymore btw.)

Dancergirl · 20/08/2018 20:24

maria I don't think it is depressing, no-one wants to look like mutton dressed as lamb! I like to look stylish and put-together and dress not too old or too young.

An OAP could wear that jacket, can’t believe you even had to ask the question, totally agree with MrsMaria.

snowsun · 20/08/2018 20:37

Love the jacket.
I'd wear it and I'm older than you.

MrsMariaPolouvicka · 20/08/2018 21:10

It's depressing because these threads are always about the most mundane items of clothing. It's a very safe jacket from a very bland brand. I am genuinely flummoxed that you can't see that.

I realise these threads are in all likelihood simple superficial style crisis, but I just find the lack of self esteem and self confidence not to know this a bit baffling.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 20/08/2018 21:49

Anyone could wear that OP, of course you can wear it.😄

ShirleyPhallus · 20/08/2018 21:51

This ^

Also that jacket is a hideous middle-aged incarnation of what it should be!

Lynne1Cat · 20/08/2018 23:02

It looks rather old-fashioned to me, and I'm 59.

LellyMcKelly · 21/08/2018 02:16

Wear what you like. If you like this jacket then wear it. Honestly, who gives a shit what anyone else thinks. You’re not too old for anything.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 21/08/2018 02:23

It's a bit shit that people wang on about it being a 'safe and middle aged' brand.

FUCK THEM.

They are the fucking worst.

I bet they wear the shittest clothes.

Really. These people wear the most boring shite.

mymickeysbetterthanyours · 21/08/2018 02:36

Maria and Shirley - vying for the bitchiest comments of the day. It's a close one

GreyGauntlet · 21/08/2018 06:25

This is a very staid, very safe style. I can't imagine it being inappropriate for my mum and she is nearly 80.

What makes you think you are too old for it, Op?

EdWinchester · 21/08/2018 06:28

I think it’s fine. Boden is aimed at the middle aged isn't it?

pictish · 21/08/2018 06:31

It’s ok. Very expensive for what it is. I don’t think you’re too old. As with anything it depends how you wear it. I’d look ridiculous in it but it’s not my scene at all.

ShirleyPhallus · 21/08/2018 07:02

I bet they wear the shittest clothes.

No, I look great 100% of the time Wink

SeaGlassHunter · 21/08/2018 07:10

No you aren't, you are probably exactly the target age for it.

I think it's nice. You can probably get the same style cheaper elsewhere, but it might not be as well made.

Boden returns are good, try it and see?
