Looking for new black eye liner recommendations ...

Iv used rimmel liquid eye liner for years and it’s great for staying power but I want to try something slightly softer. All the pencils Iv tried either drag or don’t leave and end up grey ish by the end of the day.

It has to be black and ideally waterproof. Any recommendations please?

I use Collection Xtreme 24 felt tip liner. It’s reallt cheap but it DOES NOT BUDGE and looks really good.

Kiko waterproof eyeliner won't shift at all!

On me the Charlotte Tilbury one does budge all day.

I’ll have to have a look online at Kiko, Iv not seen that in shops here.

ivegot do you do flicks? If so does that not smudge either?

MAC Liquidlast in Point Black. Bombproof.

Bobbi brown gel? Even when dried out you can get a kohl like look if you wet the brush.

Surprisingly I've recently found Avon do 2 great liners

1. a pot of gel paint liner
2. a gel paint pencil

Both are very smooth and glide on - but after a couple of minutes dry/set and then do not budge - but stay smooth all day.

@Ilmb it's amazing - originally saw it recommended in the Guardian and would never go back. I had a VERY weepy evening one night and not a single smudge

Wunder2 make up is your friend...the eyeliners stay put all day.

I think I want what your looking for OP, all the bomb proof eyeliners look too harsh, Ive switched to a kohl pencil which does give a much softer effect but I have to keep reapplying it as it has no staying power so watching your thread to see if someone can come up with the holy grail.

I've always worn eyeliner since my teens. I now use eyeshadow applies with a good angled eyeliner brush . Not only does it look more subtle, it lasts.
Sometimes I go over the black with the eyeshadow I'm wearing on my lid to tone it in

My eyes tend to water, particularly in the winter so it has to be budge proof. The rimmel liquid one I find looks virtually the same at night as when I put it on for anyone looking for a liquid eye liner to try, bizarrely not the waterproof one but thT Normal one.

betty yes! I want the staying power or liquid but not as harsh for every day wear! Liquid I’m fine for a night out (although that hardly happens) but want something softer but stays! Haven’t tried Avon for years but I don’t like the woman who reps near me, if I order online will she deliver it? I don’t want a pot with brush, a big faff for work....

Eye Ko is the best I have found.

I use Maybelline gel liner, then a line of eyeshadow over the top to soften it.
The underlying gel liner gives it staying power.

I like black chrome, but have just bought Charcoal on holiday which is not available in UK.

I use a browny Purple shadow over it during the day, and a black shadow for glamming it up

I second the Avon. All their eyeliners are amazing and pretty cheap. Go on very easily over eyeshadow unlike a lot of other brands.

Also it won't be delivered by a rep unless you want it to be. They very rarely have free delivery offers anymore unless it's by rep
