Is owning more than 20 Cardigans way too much?

Having a look through stuff the other day and realised I have 24.
Going to have to limit as moving to a smaller house next week.

I hate choosing what to keep and not to keep.

Nope, definitely or too many. I am a cardi girl too.
In fact surely you can squeeze in another couple?

LunaTheCat · 14/08/2018 19:40

Oops should read not too many!

Meltingwax · 14/08/2018 19:41

I like a nice cardi.

What kinds do you have OP?

rightknockered · 14/08/2018 19:44

I'm jealous
What do you have, I need pics

ScabbyHorse · 14/08/2018 19:45

I love a cardi

ThomasHardyPerennial · 14/08/2018 19:46

When I sorted my wardrobe out last year I was shocked to see how many I have, and gave up counting after 60. I dread to think how much money I have spent on them Blush.

Debbiet1981 · 14/08/2018 19:57

I have about 24, doubt I would have room for anymore lol, vary in thickness, a few are cashmere, few chunky.

Mostly just plain work wool cardigans which have been worn quite a bit.

Debbiet1981 · 14/08/2018 19:58

Should say 24 not about lol as it is 24

Must admit some of the earlier comments made me happy in a way as I thought the amount of cardigans I owned was a bit OTT. My hubby certainly thinks it is.

I own one!
Where do you get yours from? I feel I need more but they never sit right on me!

Debbiet1981 · 14/08/2018 22:15

Bought a good few from M & S which is always good.

Also bought some in the past from Next, Dorothy Perkins, Gap even Tesco or Asda.

Try the 10x10 wardrobe challenge if you need to get rid of stuff: great way of proving to yourself you really don’t need quantity, just versatile, quality garments.

You pick 10 garments, then that’s your wardrobe for 10 days. Obviously you’re also allowed to add clean undies, shoes, accessories etc.

Verbena87 · 14/08/2018 22:24

(And yeah, 24 is a lot. I’ve got 7 and that feels unnecessary.)

OhTheRoses · 14/08/2018 22:30

Cardis are brilliant. I have more than 24!! Every colour, texture and design. I've hated this hot weather because I can't wear my cardis!! Smile

whattheheck2 · 14/08/2018 22:41

They are my jackets too! I love a fitted cardigan over a dress.

Debbiet1981 · 14/08/2018 22:43

Even in the hotter than normal weather I have worn them as well at times.

TeaPigeon · 14/08/2018 22:43

I wish I had 24 cardigans Envy
Not too much IMO, you can never have enough...or vests for that matter...

ScattyCharly · 14/08/2018 22:46

If you like them and wear them, keep them all.

DeathlyPail · 14/08/2018 22:51

I love a cardi although I’ve not worn one since mid June due to the heatwave.
I suffer from hot turns, I won’t call them flushes yet and like to be able to remove layers cardio are so much easier than jumpers.
I’ve not counted my collection recently but at a guess I’ll say 10 that I like and wear and another 10 that should be in the charity bag

LagoDiComo · 14/08/2018 22:54

If you wear them, and they suit you, then not too many! I have about that many. My standard look in spring/summer are skinny trousers, a nice top and a cardigan so I wear all mine on rotation. It’s quite difficult to find nice basic crew neck cardigans now as a lot are frilly or waterfall or long.

Debbiet1981 · 14/08/2018 22:56

My sister said Cardis must be my thing and she calls me the Cardi queen lol , I wear over tshirts in Summer, and usually with Blouses or over long sleeve tshirts in Winter.

When ever M&S or anywhere else had a sale I usually just bought them whether I need them or not as I love a bargain. That also goes for underwear, socks, tights etc.

OP posts:
Clionba · 14/08/2018 22:58

Lago some nice lightweight crew neck ones H&M Basics.

Debbiet1981 · 14/08/2018 23:11

With me its all about having the colours to match the tops I have as well hence why so many darker coloured ones.
