Is this skirt too short for a second date?

Namila · 09/08/2018 17:36

I bought this skirt a few days ago and I'd love to wear it to the date I have tomorrow night.

The date will be drinks at 7pm in a nice (but not formal) bar. Temperature should be 23 degrees according to the weather forecast.

Planning to wear it with dressy flat sandals, a fitted t-shirt and a blazer. I am late 20s.

Yay or nay? Too short? Too sexy? Too casual?

Please help! Grin

I don't think it's the shortness but the material, black denim type yes. But a no from me sorry.

BaconCrispsGone · 09/08/2018 17:45

It's fine standing, but looks like the kind of thing that would ride right up if you sat down

Vitalogy · 09/08/2018 17:46

You've a nice figure/legs btw.

UnderMajorDomoMinor · 09/08/2018 17:46

Yes that’s fine, you’re late 20s that’s not inappropriate at all and dressed right it’ll look like you’ve made an effort but not OTT

Jeffers3 · 09/08/2018 17:47

I think it looks fine for date, would look better with a plain t-shirt tucked in and some converse/Vans. I think it will look odd with a blazer.

ApolloandDaphne · 09/08/2018 17:47

Looks like the sort of skirt my 25 yo DD wears all the time for going out for drinks etc. It certainly isn't too short and you have lovely legs.

Jeffers3 · 09/08/2018 17:48

So yeah maybe too casual depending on what you are doing.

Summersup · 09/08/2018 17:48

I've seen lots of teens/twenties in these skirts this summer and they look lovely, I say go for it!

ItsLikeRain · 09/08/2018 17:50

Love it. Wear what you like!

Racecardriver · 09/08/2018 17:51

It's too denim for a nice bar in the evening.

ApolloandDaphne · 09/08/2018 17:55

It looks nice with the top you are wearing too.

ChishandFips33 · 09/08/2018 17:59

It's a yes here too

fannyfarter · 09/08/2018 18:05

I like it, you’ve got the figure for it so go for it! Definitely not too short!

userabcname · 09/08/2018 18:08

No, it's mid-thigh and you have good legs. Go for it! Good luck with the date.

flutteryleaves · 09/08/2018 18:25

you look great! outfit sounds nice and not crazy attention seeking. enjoy your date.

AnnabelleLecter · 09/08/2018 18:28

Another vote for wear it

Annabelle4 · 09/08/2018 18:28

It's perfect!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 09/08/2018 18:30

Love it but don't like the idea of a blazer, the skirt is too casual for that.

Nyancat · 09/08/2018 18:31

Id go t-shirt and trainers with it rather than flats and blazer but apart from that it's a yes.

Sleephead1 · 09/08/2018 18:38

I don't think it's too short but not sure if it will go with a blazer I think if you are wearing that and a t shirt and Sandles I'd just wear that as I think the blazer would look wrong with the outfit agree converse would look good.

Annabelle4 · 09/08/2018 18:42

I disagree, and wouldn't wear trainers/converse to a nice bar. (Or any bar for that matter)

Jupiter9 · 09/08/2018 20:13

You've got the legs so why not. Good luck.

Scabetty · 09/08/2018 20:39

Yes, wear it styled as you say or with trainers.

Knitjob · 09/08/2018 20:41

Looks lovely. You have a great figure. How does it look sitting down though, will you be trying to pull it down a bit all evening?

JasmineByTheSea · 09/08/2018 20:43

100% fine
