Which dress for a wedding?

Hi everyone,

I have my DPs cousins wedding on Saturday and need help choosing between two dresses.

Option a- orange dress- was £5 in the sale so absolute bargain however is a thin material so I will need to wear big pants and will probably be a bit self conscious of my tummy however I could cope if it genuinely doesn't look too bad

Option b- black and white- was £70. I can afford it but feel guilty about the price although I will wear it again on holiday

I'm all set to return the expensive dress and wear the orange one but I'm paranoid that my hips/tummy will look big and maybe I should wear something floatier?

Anyway opinions would be great please! Thanks!

Also the photos were taken from a v unflattering angle which is why I look very weirdly proportioned!

I prefer the orange one. Looks nice on you. The black and white one looks a little bit mumsy to me in my honest opinion.

flamingofridays · 08/08/2018 09:48

I prefer option A! I think it looks great and I cant see any tummy at all!

MummytoCSJH · 08/08/2018 09:50

I love the orange one, think it looks lovely on you. As pp said, no tummy at all!

DaphneduM · 08/08/2018 09:51

Definitely the orange dress - you look amazing in it - absolutely lovely.

displacementofwater · 08/08/2018 09:53

Definitely the orange one. It's really flattering and suits your figure better.

letsdolunch321 · 08/08/2018 09:53

Option A. Lovely and chic

MorningCuppa · 08/08/2018 09:55

Orange one definitely, sorry but I don't like the other one it's not a great style.

ShellsBells76 · 08/08/2018 09:59

The orange dress, the other one looks very frumpy.

Beetlebum1981 · 08/08/2018 10:00

I think the orange one is much more flattering! Definitely get the big pants if they'll make you feel more comfortable, there's no point feeling self conscious all day.

Elledorado · 08/08/2018 10:01

Orange one!!! B&w looks very frumpy but could possibly be the angle.

fuzzyfozzy · 08/08/2018 10:02

Orange one
Other doesn't suit you.

SenoritaViva · 08/08/2018 10:02

Orange, you look great!

NotSoBonnie · 08/08/2018 10:04

Orange one!

cookiesaurus · 08/08/2018 10:04

Definitely the orange one. It looks lovely!

myusernamewastakenbyme · 08/08/2018 10:07

Orange one looks fab but i think you need heels with it not flats x

katmunchkin · 08/08/2018 10:09

The orange dress actually makes you look slimmer as it hugs your hips - the black and white flares out over them so makes you look bigger than you are - Orange all the way!

GreenTulips · 08/08/2018 10:10

I agreewitj the orange one it's looks more balanced top and bottom

The other makes your boobs look small and bottom half look huge (in camparison)

But you do need heels even a small heel

Apileofballyhoo · 08/08/2018 10:13

Orange one!

SandAndSea · 08/08/2018 10:17

I looked at the black and white one first and thought it was nice, apart from the sandals which I don't think go with it.

Then I looked at the orange one and was really surprised. You look like a completely different person - sexy and about 20 years younger! I would wear the orange and, if you're self conscious, think about getting some kind of slip. Please know it looks great on you. I look back now and wish I'd had the confidence to wear clothes like this when I was younger.

fourpawswhite · 08/08/2018 10:20

Orange one.

Return the other one, you have a lovely figure and it really does not show it at all.

Mumblechum0 · 08/08/2018 10:29

Another vote for orange. The black and white one is very very mumsy

FawnDrench · 08/08/2018 10:32

Orange one is streets and avenues ahead of the black and white one and shows off your lovely figure.

No contest at all!

Redisthemagicolour · 08/08/2018 10:34

Yes def agree with everyone. The orange one is very flattering. The other one is def not! Go for it!

Bombardier25966 · 08/08/2018 10:36

I like both, but I agree that for a wedding the first is best.
