Recommendations for cheap everyday perfume

I won't wear good perfume for everyday use. I keep my good ones for best and usually wear a more dated one I can pick up cheap for work. I've just polished off Cerrutti 1881 and some Roberto cavalli. Budget up to £20

AMor amor

Singlenotsingle · 02/08/2018 18:51

None, sorry. I never wear the stuff. Urgh!

peekaboo1 · 02/08/2018 18:52

Avon's little black dress or little black dress weekend. Recently took a punt on their perfumes with only the catalogue scratch and sniff patch as a guide and have been very pleasantly surprised. I generally buy in the £1 per ml price range so a bottle for a tenner has been a pleasant surprise!

Oly5 · 02/08/2018 18:54

I can get Elizabeth Arden Green Tea for about that price, I love it

LuxuryWoman2018 · 02/08/2018 18:54

Next perfumes are dupes for more expensive ones so Eau Nude is a dupe for Coco Mademoiselle which I find a good way to stretch my 'proper' perfumes. Otherwise some of the celeb ones can be good, a lot of people like Lovely by SJP or some of the J-Lo ones and they tend to hover around the £15 mark. Ghost perfumes are often on very good offer and there are a few I like. Paul Smith 'Floral' is quite nice and normally around £13 in Boots.

Otherwise people like the Perfume Parlour for oils which smell like their favourite perfume. Anyway, Boots always have a cheaper shelf of fragrance so have a rummage there, they have ones like Eden and LouLou but many others

Mumshotel · 02/08/2018 18:59

I've never had an avon perfume. I love their lipsticks tho. I'll have a look. What else do you like as well as little black dress. Is it heavy or floral

Lush Vanillary is my everyday perfume

Butterfly1975 · 02/08/2018 19:27

Try TK Maxx for cheapies or M&S own ranges - 'New York' is particularly nice and some e.g Aqua are dupes of branded perfume (Issey Miyake)

Echo what pp suggested about Perfume Parlour dupes. Some are excellent - I've got several of the Hermes dupes for work and can't really tell the difference!

CountFosco · 02/08/2018 19:32

iscentyouaday is good on cheap perfume. Ones I've liked recently include Bronnley Wild Green, Yardley Daisy Sapphire, the Monotheme perfumes at M&S.

Northernmum100 · 02/08/2018 19:38

Next Just pink, lovely and a good dupe for Ralph Lauren Romance

haverhill · 02/08/2018 19:40

Yardley Jade. V v similar to Chanel Cristalle.

I recently bought "Far Away - Rebel" by Avon, very cheap but it's nearly all gone as I've caught my DD 15yrs old using it, she loves it and only usually wears expensive stuff.

EnormousDormouse · 02/08/2018 19:42

Another vote for Lovely by SJP. I bought some on the recommendation of the perfumista thread and it's one of my cheapie go-tos for work.

jaffacakeany1 · 02/08/2018 19:43

Also "Suddenly" from Lidl £3.99 is really lovely, always get comments how nice I smell when I wear it.

loveka · 02/08/2018 19:44

Why would someone post saying they don't have any recommendations as they hate perfume. Why?

Anyhow, the M and S ones are quite nice. I wear Christalle and am going to check out Yardley Jade.

BriocheBriocheBrioche · 02/08/2018 19:46

I really like a lot of the Zara perfumes.
I also always have a bottle of Suddenly from Lidl on the go. It smells pretty expensive and I’ve had lots of compliments

Cismyass · 02/08/2018 19:48

Agent provocateur perfumes are often heavily discounted in B&M and allbeauty.com or fragrancedirect . Only good if you like heavy sleazy type scents. My other perfumes are Bikini Questa Sera from Selfridges (£200), Hypnotic Poison, Lush Lust or Kama (which nobody else seems to like so i never buy Sad. My favorite scent is jasmine and i love filthy type fragrances Grin. Rosie for Autograph Summer Rose and Rose Nuit are divine too (Marks & Spencer) and very reasonable.

ElspethFlashman · 02/08/2018 19:50

Zara perfumes are amazing. Loads of different types and they all smell more expensive than they are.

TheOnlyAletheia · 02/08/2018 19:52

Perfume Parlour sell dupes of upmarket fragrances and they are excellent

AnnieOH1 · 02/08/2018 19:54

If you go on Amazon and type in everyday perfumes there's a huge array of choice :)

GandTthankyou · 02/08/2018 19:56

Sainsbury’s have a soap and glory dupe type range - that does a cheap perfume - I bought it one sweaty day before a job interview (which I got!) and keep it in my car for emergencies but would probs wear it everyday if I could be arsed to go get it...

LuxuryWoman2018 · 02/08/2018 19:56

Lidl Suddenly is another coco mademoiselle dupe, quite weak but very similar and as others have said it's quite nice. I forgot about Zara and agree.

No idea why someone who doesn't like fragrance would bother to comment. Most odd behaviour. I wonder if pet threads get comments like "no idea, I don't have a dog'

glitterballbag · 02/08/2018 20:00

I still wear Charlie red ❤️ less than a fiver from b&m - I love it
