Micro blading is this a disaster or not? (picture included)

So I went to get my eyebrows microbladed yesterday, after months of deliberation.
I was very clear that I wanted my eyebrows evened up as they were oddly shaped, and filled in ... I was very clear I didn't want really thick sluggy eyebrows.
I'm absolutely horrified by my eyebrows now, a day later and I want to cry! I feel ridiculous! they're so dark and they appear waaaaay too thick for my face - this is not what I wanted at all!!
Please can someone tell me they will go down and look normal again?! Has someone done a horrendous job on me or not.. been staring at them in the mirror for so long I really can't even tell any more.
The artist who did them was very experienced and apparently one of the best in the area!!
Please note I've got layers and layers Vasoline on them hence why they look so shiny in the future

Mine definitely aren't blocky but she's expensive and booked up!

Rosewhitetips the purpose of shading is to fill in big gaps which you can't do with strokes...or so I'm told

I’ve got patchy bits so I’m now considering microblading after seeing the after pics!

@ollivander84 - your brows are amazing! They look so natural. Where do you get them done?

Hi all
I think I must have got shading as well from looking at other people's pictures- this isn't what I asked for so I'll have to bring it up when I have my touchup session in a month or so.
Okay so I'm on day 15 now you can see the pictures attached- I didn't really have any scabbing as such I kept them dry just putting little bit of Vasoline type stuff on every day.
I still think they're a little bit too thick and a little bit to sharp in the inner corner but overall I'm quite happy. Had lots of compliments on them so I guess other people think I look okay!!

Did they not tell you they can remove bits if you are not happy with them in the first 2 weeks? I had mine done 5 weeks ago and if you are only 15 days in They may still fade a little

This is a revelation! I always thought micro-blading was when you shaved the baby fuzz of your face with a really tiny razor! I’m so behind the times. I’m not keen on the massive brow look, will leave it to the young folks x

You look good. The new look is different, but good in its own right.

FWIW you looked good before the micro blade, too. Your face just had a different look to it, with different accents, mellower and softer.

With your new eye area it looks like you have got more panache, there is more ooomph about your eyes.

To reiterate, you were fine then and you are fine now :)

Definitely better without the plastic eyes. They made your eyes look a bit gormless looking.

Ok OP, I’ve been for a consultation and I’m taking the plunge. All because of your eyebrows Grin

Hello all! So I am 40 and had over-plucked brows so did my research and went to an aesthetic center where ( I thought at time ) I was meeting an EXPERIENCED certified ( 2000 hour class to get certified in US cost $2100) microblader. So first round she used an ink called SPOT ON. I did all the aftercare correctly and ended up with one eyebrow longer than the other and very obvious, crooked lines, and was told at my " touchup in 30 days" is when I'd really get the eyebrows we'd discussed.. I'd asked to see her work at our initial consultation and she said she couldn't bc of" Privacy purposes" this should have been the stopping point on working with her( my fault ). She said she had 2 years exp. so after 39 days if proper aftercare my eyebrows were BLUE!!!! I went back for touch up and I asked her to please just use BLACK COLOR NO UNDERTONE. She didn't bc now ( at least they are the same length) they are STILL BLUE. Then I was told I had to pay for her to finish fixing them , pre-pay at that $200, I'm sharing this not to scare you off. Powder brows and microblading by an experienced and certified person can really do wonders for so many reasons. I shared my exp so you can learn from my mistakes:
-Ask for a portfolio of her ( his ) work
-Ask if the ink used is plant based ( the best I've now been told by over 8 exp Brow pros)

  • look into the different options you can have done and cost, TOTAL COST!!

I'm now stuck ( not for long) with navy blue powder brows . Basically paying $500 to have my eyebrows to where I know where to fill them in which totally defeats the purpose of why I wanted them. I love the "Powder and Ombré brow" and will have to spend $600-$1000. Please just research . Good Luck,
Katherine
