Micro blading is this a disaster or not? (picture included)

So I went to get my eyebrows microbladed yesterday, after months of deliberation.
I was very clear that I wanted my eyebrows evened up as they were oddly shaped, and filled in ... I was very clear I didn't want really thick sluggy eyebrows.
I'm absolutely horrified by my eyebrows now, a day later and I want to cry! I feel ridiculous! they're so dark and they appear waaaaay too thick for my face - this is not what I wanted at all!!
Please can someone tell me they will go down and look normal again?! Has someone done a horrendous job on me or not.. been staring at them in the mirror for so long I really can't even tell any more.
The artist who did them was very experienced and apparently one of the best in the area!!
Please note I've got layers and layers Vasoline on them hence why they look so shiny in the future

What happens when the tattoo thing fades completely? And yes, I was wondering about the real eyebrow hair - is it waxed off?

I think your eyes look nicer hooded! My eyelids are hooded too and I have been considering those plastic things but definitely prefer yours without. You have really lovely eyes.

@rosewhitetips the original eyebrows are left. They will just be trimmed and strays plucked. The gaps will be filled in with microblading and around the edges to even the shape up. I had mine done in Feb last year with a final edit/touch up in May last year also. Mine have faded significantly and where there was treatment it looks like what I would describe as a faded black marker in the hairless areas. But these do give me a guide of sorts to pencil over. It's not very attractive close up Blush .

I think your eyebrows look amazing OP!

You have sparked my interest with those sticky eye things, they look great, very effective, do they stay on?

I've been considering getting this done. Would you continue to post pictures as they settle down OP?

Your eyebrows were lovely before you got them done and I think they are lovely now. Remember the colour will fade. Have you to go back in 6 weeks for a touch up?

Seriously I think your eyebrows are lovely and I wish I had never plucked my eyebrows when I was younger, I had eyebrows like you have now.

I will definitely keep posting pics- and thanks everyone for your responses! Here we are at day 5 .., I really can't see any change yet. I figured by Monday morning when I need to go back to work it will be day seven so I can put a little bit of make up over the top to tone down things if needed.. Maybe some loose powder or a bit of concealer on mascara wand. I've been very stringent with the after-care and haven't touched my brows it all even though they're pretty itchy at this point!!

The dream eyes- hmmm they were totally comfortable to wear and did what they said they would do, my main issue was it Was hard to put make up on top of them even a loose powder didn't really stick, so therefore you can see the shininess underneath. My daughter noticed straight away- ' what's that on your eyes?'

I think I would keep these for special occasion wear rather than every day.

Sorry I meant to add -with the dream eyes the whole idea for me was to create a lid so that I could apply some nice eyeshadow and other make up (which is a non-event with hooded eyes!!) but seeing that make up doesn't stick, it kind of defeats the purpose. they do stay on easily all day though :)

I'm interested to see the toned down new eyebrow and dream eye combination once healing is progressed a bit.

Wrt the dream eyes - I prefer your natural eyes by a long shot. I always think if you have a distinctive feature it's best to emphasise it. Trying to rein it in makes one look blah. I would use a lot of mascara on your outer lashes if I were you, and see if you can get someone to teach you to do a slight cat-eye.

(It strikes me that the dream eyes thing is a way to make hooded Asian eyes look less 'Asian'. I could be wrong.)

I like your natural eyes without the plastic thingy. I second lashing of mascara and a French flick with liner.

Your eyes are a stunning colour and shape. Make the most of them. They are gorgeous.

In case anyone is still invested in this thread (!) here's a picture of the eyebrows now... we are on day nine. The colour has lightened and looks less blocky - I'm actually quite enjoying them now but it's a definite change to try and get used to! Will post again day 14 that should be when they're fully healed

Don’t panic! I hated mine too, they looked like sharpie brows. Pictures attached show day 5ish and then after the scabbing had gone.

I’ve just had my top up and I love them, they’re really natural and not nearly as thick and dark as they were.

I've had a consultation but she mentioned I may also need shading too where I've overplucked bits. I'm worried it'll look like a block of colour? Has anyone had shading with microblading?

Report
BifsWif · 10/08/2018 20:12

Mine has the shading too, see pics above. It doesn’t look like a block at all, more like I’ve used brow powder. It’s really soft.

@jarviscockerslover day 9 looks awesome! It's convincing me it's the way to go.

Ha erm thanks?! Smile

The pictures probably aren’t the best because there’s still some dark scabbing left in the second pic but I love them and they look much better in real life!

Your last pic is much better They look much more natural in that one.

I’m sorry but all of those brows have a blocky look. Shading is surely not required.
