How long did your piercings take to heal?

I’ve just had my Daith pierced this morning.
Have wanted it done for months and months but never got round to it and was shitting myself about it too
I LOVE it so much.
I’ve already taken some Ibuprofen as it aches like a MoFo.

I’ve just left it on mine for a good while

I cleaned mine with a cotton bud dipped in salt water (don't clean the front and the back with the same bud)

Thanks all, I’ve soaked it a few times with soapy water and the blood has gone.
No one mentions how itchy it is though as it’s healing! I have to use a cotton bud or hair grip to rub lightly in my ear.
Forgot the piercing was there last night and used my finger, won’t do that again!!

My Daith took 6 months to heal properly so that it didn’t ache if caught or touched. It was the most temperamental of all my piercings and I have more than 20

20!
Wow! Which was the most painful to have?

I have two in my helix, pierced about 5 years apart.

First one healed within about 3 months. Second one has given me constant grief - 18 months on and it still occasionally sweeps up into a big pus filled lump at the back Angry

Mol1628 · 05/08/2018 13:04

Yeah why do the puss filled lumps keep coming back?

I get one on my top helix at the front though it leaks and goes down then comes back. It’s a year old. The one underneath done at the same time is fine.

My snug was the most painful closely forllowed by my daith.
