Please. Flat. Budget upto about £100 but I’d push it if they’re perfect.

K Jacques

These? Also come in a dark tan

Saltwaters? A bit instamum cliché these days but they do go with everything

NakedMum33and3rd · 21/07/2018 08:12

Def saltwater classic tan. I wear mine everyday!

taybert · 21/07/2018 08:31

Surely the “perfect” anything differs from person to person. I’ve got short legs so don’t like an ankle strap. Wide or narrow feet? What are you wearing them with?

A few years ago Karen Millen did a tan version of these. I bought two pairs because I realised they were my absolute perfect summer sandals and the first pair are on their last summer now so I'm trying to eke them out as long as I can. If you could track a pair down they're genuinely lovely, go with everything and super comfortable.

MsJuniper · 21/07/2018 08:50

I love these, they are described as honey rather than tan but I think they're beautiful.

Thank you. I have considered saltwaters but they sort of remind me of my primary school head teacher. Sorry!

I’m something that ideally would work with lots of outfits...so that doesn’t help much. Obviously I realise my perfect isn’t the same as somebody else’s!

The K Jacques are talking to me most at the moment but more ideas welcome. Thanks!

Those Steve Madden ones are great. What about almost anything from here?

hairyscarey · 21/07/2018 09:29

Have never seen K Jacques before...some lovely stuff.

I agree about the Saltwaters...not a good look IMO.

LadyLapsang · 21/07/2018 11:47

Hi, I have some thoughts, but what size do you need?

Bourgainvillia · 21/07/2018 11:50

Got to be Flit flots normally for me, see the site.

Highlove · 21/07/2018 14:50

I have these. Look equally good with dresses as with jeans, supremely comfortable.

hairyscarey · 21/07/2018 15:42

There's absolutely no support on those anothersunnyday. How can you call then "supremely comfortable"?

Whatthefoxgoingon · 21/07/2018 16:28

I find these sort of very flat sandals very uncomfortable. I need to be able to walk at least 5 miles without issue for a sandal to be deemed comfortable. I end up in fitflops, camper and Ecco mostly. Would love something more stylish but I never find them comfortable enough.

badgeronabicycle · 21/07/2018 16:40

I recently bought these. They come in wide and normal width. They're very comfortable. Sadly they aren't leather though. If they were, they'd be perfect (for me anyway)

MrsMariaPolouvicka · 21/07/2018 16:42

From the examples given, as a PP said, it would seem everyones idea of perfect is indeed different!

hairyscarey Interesting that you think the R&B sandals offer no support but you quite like the look of K Jacques. I have both, the R&B sandals are slightly cushioned and the ankle strap keeps your foot in place. The K Jacques I have are completely hard and flat and my feet slide around much more.

OP if you like K Jacques, Ancient Greek Sandals are similar, very slightly cheaper and more widely available (I've found). They also go down to really reasonable prices in sales. Here's their own site for style options but there are plenty of UK stockists (I find them true to size btw same a KJ):

tethersend · 21/07/2018 16:45

Yokono are amazingly comfy. I have these and have worn them into the ground.

Anothersunnyday · 21/07/2018 16:47

hairy, you’re right, no support whatsover! However, I do find them really comfortable and can easily do a day’s walking in them - city, country or rugged would be a different matter!!
