Converse but comfier?

I love the look of Converse, both the high and low tops but I’ve accepted I just can’t wear them. They give me blisters. Which is a shame as they are such classics..
So are there other brand I could try that are a dream to wear but would have a similar look to Converse?

Please and thank you, you style gurus you Smile

Where do they give you blisters? Do you have flat feet? Wear insoles?
Or just wear trainer socks! :-)

Not quite converse but I find rocketdog pumps soooo much more comfortable. Plus nice bright patterns too

Slippery · 19/06/2018 20:15

Not exactly the same but Superga are very easy to wear.

CoconutAmericano · 19/06/2018 20:38

Londongin thanks, I get blisters on my ankles. My feet are quite bony and I’ve very high arches so Converse don’t feel very supportive. Plus they just rub rub rub..
I’ll check out the Rocketdogs and Supergas, thanks!

I have the white converse and they give me blisters on my little toes. I also have a khaki colour pair with some rose gold detailing (don't know if they are a special edition or something ) they seem to be a suede material and the sole seems to be slightly thicker. These aren't as narrow it seems and they don't give me blisters.

RiddleyW · 19/06/2018 20:50

I find Ash very comfy

rainbowfudgee · 19/06/2018 20:50

White Stuff trainers are super comfy. I got some suede grey ones in the last sale for £17 reduced from £65 and they are fab.

marmeemarch1 · 19/06/2018 20:52

I find converse uncomfortable too, my favourites are Victoria plimsolls from Jigsaw, I have three colours! And they smell nice

CoconutAmericano · 19/06/2018 21:17

Ooh nice smelling sneakers, never knew there was such a thing! Off to google..

Vans. Not like converse, but so comfy!

Mountainsoutofmolehills · 19/06/2018 21:27

converse make me have huge blisters.

ThePoultryLady · 19/06/2018 21:29

Stan Smiths super comfy

Theconifers25 · 19/06/2018 21:30

Ash are good, Supergas even better.
No blisters and no breaking in period with Supergas.

3dogsandcounting · 19/06/2018 21:32

Are Superga wide? I always need a narrow fitting but find converse very flat for lots of walking.

CoconutAmericano · 19/06/2018 21:36

Ok I'm making a note of all brands to try. Thank you, I appreciate all suggestions. Im trying to ‘cool’ up my look a bit.

Ive a free day on Friday I want to try on every single pair of Levis and find the perfect pair (hoping 501’s are the ‘ones’) and Im going to try on all the suggested trainers too.

Supergas- I nervously ordered a pair of silver ones a few months ago and they’re fantastic. They look much smarter than converse as well.

Vans are also extremely comfy- the sole is v thick and much more forgiving than converse.

GuntyMcGee · 19/06/2018 22:34

Reading with interest. Converse are just too narrow for me. So uncomfortable.

mamalovebird · 19/06/2018 22:43

I've recently had to end my 25 year relationship with converse as now into my 40s, I just need a bit more bounce under foot. I bought a pair of Nike Internationalist and they are great. Nice retro look and really comfy.

HildaSnibbs · 19/06/2018 22:58

Toms trainers- not the slip on Toms with the really thin soles, but actual trainers with laces - they're awesome, really lightweight and comfy. I've got three pairs now and love them.

NotARegularPenguin · 19/06/2018 23:05

Vans?

FrangipaniBlue · 19/06/2018 23:23

Another vote for vans!

Both mine and DSs seem to have more padding/are a bit thicker across the back

Moneyissue2 · 19/06/2018 23:44

Eek, just ordered two pairs supergra cos of this thread!

TokyoSushi · 19/06/2018 23:50

Superga, wide & super comfy!

FraxinusExcelsior · 19/06/2018 23:50

I picked up some Supergas in the shop today and they were all SO heavy! Is that normal?
