Just had my eyebrows waxed for first time

Part of a sorting myself out post separation campaign.

They were really wide and sparse. I like the right eyebrow but the left doesn't match completely in shape. Is this normal? I think I'm feeling over sensitive partly in case people think I look stupid but also because the beautician had really noticeably different shaped eyebrows herself

They are sisters not twins! Well that's what I'm always told. Do you think she's taken them too wide at the nose? Could you post a pic?

mycatplotsdeath · 14/06/2018 14:31

As my eyebrow lady says " your eyebrows are sisters not twins "
I bet they look fab.

Borris · 14/06/2018 14:34

I'll try a pic with my face scribbled out

This is back to front for some reason so the 'good' one is on the left of the picture

Omg it looks like she has ripped out half your eyebrows

Tinseltower · 14/06/2018 14:40

Doesn’t look like they’ve done a great job. There’s still hair on the middle!

dementedpixie · 14/06/2018 14:40

Were they sparse already? I agree they don't look that even. What were they like before?

dementedpixie · 14/06/2018 14:42

It's the middle bit of the brow that doesn't look good. It will need powder or pencil to fill the gaps. Did you need to do that before?

spanishwife · 14/06/2018 14:42

Did they do the gaps or is that your natural brow?
I'd look into microblading for a more permanent solution

Borris · 14/06/2018 14:42

This was before

I don't think there is hair in the middle. It's totally smooth. Just my ugly big pores

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 14/06/2018 14:43

Is there supposed to be another pic?

Borris · 14/06/2018 14:44

The gap was there before. It's why I thought I had unfixable eyebrows but my friend said that they'd still look better done.
I cba with drawing them in each day or anything

OP posts:
Borris · 14/06/2018 14:45

Yes 2 pics now. I'll repost the before

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 14/06/2018 14:46

Did you get them tinted too? They do look better then the before pic

Borris · 14/06/2018 14:47

No I didn't get them tinted. She said that there's nit even any downy hair and so tinting wouldn't help

OP posts:
BlueTrousers · 14/06/2018 14:50

Tinting would definitely help, everyone has tiny faint hairs all over their face so it’s very unlikely that those patches are totally bald

They definitely look better than the before, but won’t look brill unless you fill in those patches I’m afraid

BlueTrousers · 14/06/2018 14:51

I probably would’ve took a little bit more off the front of the right eyebrow too, it’s thicker which is the most obvious uneven bit

Borris · 14/06/2018 14:53

Could I do it myself with tweezers?

OP posts:
WhyBird2k · 14/06/2018 14:56

Yes you can do it yourself with tweezers. You may feel you have more control as its only one hair at a time, and you can crop whenever you like! I don't trust anyone else doing my eyebrows, have always done my own.

BlueTrousers · 14/06/2018 14:56

Possibly, it’ll take you a while though, there’s quite a thick line of hair that needs taking out IMO
Do along the line once then see if it needs again then do the whole line again, don’t do a patch then try to even it out though, that’s a quick way to end up with no eyebrows

Borris · 14/06/2018 14:58

Ok. I'll have a bash. Feel like crying tbh. I was so nervous going to have it done and now I wish I hadn't

littlepooch · 14/06/2018 14:58

I'd try threading next time. It's more precise than waxing.

Butternutsqoosh · 14/06/2018 15:00

Microblading could be a good option for you

BlueTrousers · 14/06/2018 15:01

Noooo don’t cry

IME a good brow technician is a bit like a good hair stylist, they have to get to know you, your face, your brows, how they grow, how you like them etc, it’s best to stick with one for a while as they very very rarely get it perfect first time

DragonsAndCakes · 14/06/2018 15:01

They’ll be fine once you’ve taken a bit off the fatter one. Smile
