What would you like to wear?

I was chatting with some girlfriends the other day and we were talking about different outfits we would like to be able to wear but really couldn't... either because of size, height, body shape etc.

My one style I would love to wear but feel I can't is a jumpsuit. Maybe floral with high heels. My stomach is too fat and my arse is too broad (but I'm working on it!)

Anyone else covet a particular style but just can't get away with it?

Playsuits.

Short sleeveless dresses.

Vests.

Basically anything that involves me getting my legs and arms out with zero preparation. I envy naturally tanned people so much.

Yes to jumpsuits!

This high waisted trend of the moment- draws attention to my thighs and not-flat stomach.

Backless tops/dresses that you can't wear with a bra.

At the moment I'm just missing wearing anything that's not maternity wear. So bored of my maternity wardrobe!

I would love to be able to throw on a pair of shorts. I’ve got skinny white legs, so it’s not my best look 😂

My legs and arms are OK, it's the rest of my body that's the problem! Shorts... oh noooo, that would be one step too far!

Also wish I could wear floaty baggy dresses on holiday. I look awful in anything like that because my boobs are quite big, so unflattering.

I’m not sure floaty dresses suit many shapes really. I’m fairly tall, so can look like I’m wearing a child’s dress, if it’s too girly. I need structure!

Heels
Can manage 2 inches or so in a boot but court shoes, no way
It limits dresses/skirts so much for me

Shift dress.
Skinny jeans and a t shirt.
I'm an apple shape.
Not helped by my eating of chocolate and sweets. My own fault.

Shorts. My legs are huge, with varicose veins just to add to the joy.

I would love to wear a corset-type belt, but even when my waist is small enough (which it isn't at the moment) I have an enormous rib cage which hangs over it looking stupid.

Lots of things but always fancied wearing young Katharine Hepburn linen trouser suits or young Lauren Bacall houndstooth (The Big Sleep) skirt suits. I'm short, big busted and a bit round so not really able to carry these off. Also, no longer young.

Sleeveless tops
My arms are slim, but flabby and exercise is not helping much
I would rather have bigger arms which are toned than slim flabby arms

Super high skyscraper heels. I'm quite tall so I don't need the height and they make my knee ache after a while.

Any strappy summer dresses, I'm too big and saggy to go without a bra.
I've also coveted one of those tulle sticky out skirts for years, but I haven't had any occasion to wear one.

Anything really girl and maybe a bit frilly.

I'm very short and occasionally get mistaken for a child at first glance anyway, floral ruffles are going to do me no favours whatsoever.

Ditto something maxi and flowy. I look entirely swamped in anything that doesn't have a fair bit of structure. Also have massive boobs and an enormous bum so floaty on me = tent.

Ditto on the girly and frilly, looks awful on me. Floaty on me, tent too!

Another one I'd like to wear but I would look awful in is palazzo pants like these. They'd look like pyjamas on me! I would love to wear something like this, I think it's really classy.

They were about six inches too long too.

I’d love to be able to easily throw on a t shirt and shorts in the summer but my skin is awful, and I’m hirsute - I have to plan outfits accordingly (i.e. will this cover my hairy back)
Anything low cut as I have no tits to fill out the top

Slim trousers with flat shoes.

I can't wear heels as they hurt my feet, knees and back. I love slim trousers with brogues but I have HUGE feet and just look like one of these:

I would love to wear some denim shorts, I have always wanted to wear a pair but hated my legs. They're not particularly fat (size 10) but full of cellulite. If there was a magic surgery that got rid of it I would sell my house to pay for it!

I used to feel like this, especially anything in a bright colour. Then one day, just thought sod it, life is short, and started wearing what I always liked. After the initial stares and comments, probably because I looked a bit self-conscious, it's been fine. Now no-one bats an eyelid and I'm much happier. Plus I rock it now.

billywig . I'm envious of those who can wear that. My friend has just bought something similar to this, they are silk and pleated... OMG she looks fabulous.

She was urging me to try on a pair but as she is size 8-10 and I'm god knows what, I refused!

I would love to wear brogues but I just look so manly in them and honestly look like I've put on my DHs shoes when I do! (He's size 12 by the way )

Roussette, yes, I also look like a sturdy sensible lesbian from the 1950s

Thongs. I used to wear them when I was a toned size 10, but now I would resemble a sumo wrestler.

Shorts and playsuits. My fat, white, wobbly cellulite-covered thighs and varicose vein calves wouldn’t look very appealing though.

Stilettos. I’d walk like a zombie though, and break my neck within 5 minutes.
