I am going to a wedding soon and am without fail the worst at doing ANYTHING remotely nice with my hair. I am looking for a really super easy and effective updo. I have long hair - beyond the shoulder and its fine but a lot of it as some hairdressers have told me. I also do not suit having all the hair scraped from my face - it needs to have a parting. I have scoured you tube but I am literally hopeless.Anything I have tried turns out crap . If you know a supereasy updo that I can do can you post please :) Thanks!

Could you get one done on the day at your hairdressers? It’s usually not that expensive if you’re not having anything elaborate.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/05/2018 22:07

Yes, I may do that actually do that but I think that all your ideas have been great and not just for me but for my dd who always gets excited when I do new things with her hair.

The roll style looks gorgeous, just don't buy the German branded headband from Claire's accessories as it's utter shit and just rolls off your head!!

neveradullmoment99 · 10/05/2018 22:11

Can you recommend a hairband? Or anyone from amazon?

If you want another option, I have one where you do high bunches close to the back of your head. Then plait each one and secure with one of those see-through tiny bands. Then you kind of cross the plaits over the tops of the bunches, tuck them underneath and pin. You end up with a plaity bun, and because it starts in two halves you keep your parting.

Have you tried a fishtail braid?
Surprisingly easy, I also have lots of fine hair and this style works well for me.

The fishtail braid looks good but I'm not good at braiding [all fingers and thumbs] and was wanting to wear my hair up more than something low. I quite fancied putting it up as I think it would look better with what I am wearing. I am very boring and just stick it in a claw slider clasp thing daily. However with all your hints and tips, tomorrow I am going to roll my hair as shown in one of the videos :)

I got my headband from Claire's in a pack of three (not the German branded one!) it's worth looking instore rather than online so as to find one that fits nicely and leaves enough room to poke hair into. Good luck!

neveradullmoment99 · 10/05/2018 22:31

Thank you :)

How do you go from step four to step five and from step seven to step eight to step nine?
I'm hopeless and it looks so lovely.

I was wondering the same. I went to try it but couldn't understand what happened from 4-5 and beyond. At the end does the pony tail bit get tucked in too?
