What can I use to even out skin tone (red nose and checks) but gives very light or no coverage?

I use tinted moisturiser. Boots number 7

MrsJayy · 10/05/2018 15:57

I use mineral powder, atm I have bare minerals but i have used others from boots

userabcname · 10/05/2018 16:00

If you have a good colour foundation, you can mix a bit with normal moisturiser to achieve the same effect as tinted moisturiser.
Also, there are some primers that achieve light coverage - I like Benefit's Porefessional but I expect there are cheaper dupes.

IcelandicWarriors · 10/05/2018 16:01

I have had bare minerals but found in sinks into my very large pores, as does foundation and BB cream.

Can you use a primer on its own?

MrsJayy · 10/05/2018 16:06

You can get a gel/serum from bare minerals to put under supposed to close pores

Eledamorena · 10/05/2018 16:08

Yes, you can use primer on its own to just smootb you out a bit.

Eledamorena · 10/05/2018 16:08

*smooth!!

eurochick · 10/05/2018 16:14

Benefit's Porefessional.

I use CC cream & it's amazing for evening out redness and tone. I use it in place of foundation and I was recommended it by the lady on the Chanel counter. The Chanel one is £46 but lasts ages. There are much, much cheaper ones though!!

Spartacunt · 10/05/2018 16:16

Givenchy's Blurring Foundation is extremely light but does what you're looking for.

I like using Laura Geller balance and brighten powder.

mickeymacca · 10/05/2018 16:23

I also like the Laura Geller powder. I ordered some about 2 months ago and have been using it daily ever since... Fab stuff

IcelandicWarriors · 10/05/2018 16:41

So if I brought tinted moisturiser when do I put sunscreen on?

OP posts:
Greenglassteacup · 10/05/2018 16:55

Some have sun protection in them

MrsJayy · 10/05/2018 17:03

A lot of them have spf in them don't they? you would put sun cream on before make up

Greenglassteacup · 10/05/2018 17:08

Most have spf in

RiskIt4Biscuit · 10/05/2018 17:58

I use SPF and then tinted moisturiser.

I would not rely on the SPF in a tinted moisturiser to give very much protection - because we simply use too little product.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 10/05/2018 19:31

The ordinary nicacinamide has done wonders for my huge pores.

threefeet · 10/05/2018 19:40

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. It changed my life.

threefeet · 10/05/2018 19:41

And it has SPF (20, I think).

Paddingtonthebear · 10/05/2018 19:42

Tinted moisturiser.

My favourites:
Cheap: Nivea daily tinted moisturiser, about £3
Expensive: Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser

Oscha · 10/05/2018 20:06

I really like Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter. It has almost no coverage but makes you look smooth and glowy. It’s absolutely lovely!

ImAGoofyGoober · 10/05/2018 20:08

I use concealer on hot days. I just swipe it where I want to even out (t zone, chin etc) and then blend. It’s very light coverage and then put a bit of powder on top.

Sparkletastic · 10/05/2018 20:12

Glossier Skin Tint. It's so good.
